I have a feeling we will battle a lot better tin this one and get a draw, but will that be enough ? It would help morale though, which has never been lower in all the time I have been supporting the club (first game seen 1961).

Reeves deserves to start, not sure if Streete is fit but where is Eagles in your line -up ? Eagles is a must, one of the few players we have capable of creating something. Im not sure Tanser and Purkiss as wide men in a middle 5 would be much different from the linesmen.

Our current match day squad has one, yes one, fit, league one standard player.

Nathan Smith.

Two or three half fit L1 players.

The rest nowhere near the required standard.

Sorry for the gloomy post, but that is the reality.

I heard Saturday "Sheffield are promoted so they will be taking it easy", we all now what happened...

The last two games the players have been average .

Average isnt good enough .

Thats the problem as not all have them have been that good ,so i agree with all the doomsters .

We have to play win the last four games but when u only creating one decent chance a game and u missing it or goalie saves it then u relying on a clean sheet to get anything from the game .

Bad times so i say go for it if we go downhaving a go as i didnt get that impression yesterday or the sat before .

So here is my team as the emphasis has got to be on scoring goals not been cautious

Turner Reg ( kiko the only good thing he did yesterday was hit that shot first half just over yesterday keep him as far away from our back line as possible ) .

Two quick lads up front if u go with kiko and Turner .

Try something different Brown u never know a goal for Vale may spring the players onto better things .

Brown will choose the same team as sat though as he spends more time worrying about the opposition than teying strengthen us or think how can we hurt them .

Well u wont hurt them with one paced players like Taylor Pugh and Hooper thats for sure ,give me young Reeves any day and u know what at least Sam Kelly has a go and tries get past players and thats indeed the way to go now .

Such a shame for our supporters to witness such one paced drivel .

It would be a miracle if we got a point in an away match let alone a win. A draw for us would be celebrated as a win. I cant see us scoring so the best we could hope for is nil nil but will most likely be a 1 nil loss.

Best of luck to all those travelling every away game we have been shocking this season! Hope oxford put out a week side or don't turn up we are desperate for a result but not counting my chickens!

Second sentence correct - average is nowhere good enough, but would probably see us with a few more points and sitting nearer to mid-table.

 

First sentence completely wrong. Our level of performance in the last two games has been far below average - words such as awful, pathetic, disgraceful, unacceptable and non-league level would be much more appropriate

The only sub I am interested in is Cecilia to come on to make an impact if we need it. Yes I know I am suggesting we start with Gibbons Reeves and Turner, but one thing is certain they will run and run and run, they all have ability and we have nothing to lose, the experienced players have not done it.

 

Turner's pace will worry defenders and could open some space for Eagles, Foley and Reeves to get forward.

 

Nice thought, but this team will not take the field that is for sure

 

I would agree but only swap de freitas for pugh, better going forward and very decent left foot plus a battler.
