It's been raining heavily in Sheffield last couple of days. I take it no problem with game being on tonight?

 

I was thinking this, it p****d it down here yesterday too, but I can't see what's going on outside at the moment as I'm at work. Wasn't raining on the way this morning though!

I'll write the match summary now:

 

A poor first half saw Oldham threaten on a number of occasions and deservedly take the lead, capitalising on a terrible Vale mistake at the back to open the scoring. Changes were made at half time and a vastly improved 2nd half performance saw Vale roar back and take the lead through a clinical Alex Jones effort and a powerful header from Smith/Streete (delete as appropriate).

One thing I noticed from the Oldham fans' views in OVF's Opposing Views article is that they say they can't defend set pieces. If that's the case then a Smith/Streete header may well be a possibility...

Given Vale's current circumstances a fixture against Oldham is as good as it gets at the moment with 3 points in mind. Wouldn't surprise me that Smith or Street deliver the goods.
