There's nothing to buy in to though. We were just about holding the crowds when we were winning but playing ****. Now we don't get the results and still playing ****. I'm having to drag myself to games and I've been a home and away supporter for 25 years. If people like me are having a problem, then then club has a huge problem because you're losing the core support to apathy. It's an absolute no-no. Something has to be done, this is a serious, serious problem.

Most of these lads who are interviewed come across as lovely fellas who badly want to do well, but trying to blood 7-8 of them all at once is a problem.

Knops does have ability but needs to be stronger and of course I don't think he's ever been played in his proper position but stuck at left back often against a fast danger man and occasionally looked in trouble. But is that his fault?

 

Why the hell we've never tried three at the back, with him alongside the other two stalwarts I don't know. It seems blindingly obvious to me that he could conceivably do a good job there.

 

He's one I'd persevere with and give an extended opportunity to, along with the likes of De Freitas and Big Reg.

 

I wouldn't mind seeing Kiko at left back for a few games, now that he's fitter. He too has never had a chance in his proper position.

 

That's what's so puzzling about Bruno's selections. Every single game he plays lads out of position.

 

Knops has been hung out to dry at times, likewise Purkiss in the early part of the season, when we play people out of position on the wing. Proper wingers help their full backs.

 

I think the 3 CB option is the way to go away from home.

 

Streete, Smith, Knops with Taylor and Kiko (or Hart) at wing back with a license to get forward.

Exactly. Brunos stubborness in this regard to either change the system or put the right players in the right roles could be his downfall.
