A ridiculous and desperate signing if true. A huge step backwards even by Vales standards. His record is awful, he's injury-prone, he has no pace and above all he hates our club and fans with a passion. This had better not happen Smurf!

Doesn't bother me one bit if any of our players were Stoke fans, as long as they play for the badge and the shirt and put the effort in. Thats what I judge them on. Its a job to these players, its their livelihood, they're not going to fk us over because they support a rival. Get him fit and he could be a good signing, he's scored goals at Championship level and has good experience.

He hasn't scored a league goal for four years! I can live with the Stoke connection, but only if he offers us something we lack, but he doesn't. I have serious doubts about our coaching staff if we've actually scouted this guy.

Dicko was an ex Stoke player not fan. This guy has openly said he hates us. Think we rejected him when he was a kid. That said, it's his last few years which concern me and his record is dire

I'll say it again - it's nothing to do with him being ex-Stoke, it because he's not going to improve us in anyway that is upsetting. Just look at his recent stats, injuries. He is nowhere as good or promising as JJ if played up top.

This has got to be a wind up, I'd way prefer Hooper upfront to him I can't see how this move would better us.

Well firstly this doesn't quite fit with the comments from Bruno suggesting it could be the last day of the transfer window before we get a striker, as the ones he's targeting are keeping their options open for moves to clubs in a higher division.

Secondly, if the staff have been working with him in training and they think he can fit into our team and score goals then I'll reserve judgement until after he's had a few games.

Apparently he's just on trial with us. Let's hope it's not taken any further than that. I'd rather pay my money to watch a young prospect giving it 100%, than a washed-up journeyman who wasn't really that good in his prime.
