Big Stoke fan, doesn't like Vale, injury prone and has struggled in recent seasons. Must have impressed in training but I don't see it working if it happens.

Yes have to be honest, not really fussed if he is a stoke fan as long as he kept his thoughts to himself BUT in the past he hasn't,stating how much he hates Vale and would never play for them mmmmm unless you need a pay packet hey.....sorry already got a dislike for him and whats he done in the last 3yrs? sorry norm you are making a mess of this one if you want fans onside,i mean imagine the grief he will get if he doesn't put a shift in during the game, surely a Reuben Reid would be a better option

Funny how everyone was banging on about not being too hasty to judge the foreign lads until they've pulled a Vale shirt on, and giving them a chance despite them playing at inferior levels and done nothing in their careers yet. An ex Stoke player comes along and the opposite happens.

He is not just an ex stoke player thats the thing, the guy hates Vale and its fans but oh well

Correct Dicko was a stoke PLAYER not a stoke fan who hates the vale, thats the difference for me

i can see your point, i can also see jjj's point, i suppose you have to look at it like 'work', if your working for a company you 'hate' will you do a decent job / be bothered? will he be mature about this and accept he's employed by a club he hate's, and perform for our fan base? it's a tricky one this is imo, coz there's also the aspect of his fitness.

I just think there are better options out there, dont get me wrong i back every player in a Vale shirt and have never even booed a player during a game in 36yrs BUT if he doesn't put a shift in i can see him getting a load more abuse than normal because of his past comments etc
