I went to school with martin, i didnt personally no him, vice versa, but back then you could see the talent he had, he loved playing football, and had exceptional raw talent, pace, and definitly knew where the back of the net was, as of us signing him now at 29 year's old, and by looking at his current record, im in the no camp, it does scream out why? BUT if he changes this attitude of so called 'hatred' towards us, knuckles down, get's his fitness to how it use to be, and he's as good as he was at scunthorpe, then you never no, but yeah you would have to say, this is a cheap option, and i personally cannot see that bruno would of even thought about this one, it does sound like a smurf signing to me all over.

I'll gladly apologise if he proves me wrong by staying fit, scoring goals and not upsetting a relatively young dressing room.

AT the end of the day no matter who pulls on our shirt we want them to do well.

His record over past 3 years is poor, has a history of injuries and has had no pre season, Im all for giving anyone a chance Im quite within the realms of being reasonable to question the signing if this is the experienced striker we are after, if it isnt then yes take a gamble and I eagerly await the seasoned striker

This really is disappointing IF it happens, which unfortunately it usually does when Lee Blakeman tweets " Radio Stoke understands that Vale are close to signing Martin Paterson"

We've gone from delusions of Le Fondre to the reality of a player who couldn't get into the Blackpool side last year. He only played a handful of games for Stoke by the way before they dumped him so he's no Dicko in that connection.

I'll certainly give him a chance. He used to be a decent player but is constantly injured and hasn't scored for a while. Again instead of signing Paterson I'd much prefer Jones forester and cicila to play. Even turner.

It seems that the Vale fans are not very "HAPPY" Bruno, when he turns up for training this morning, send him packing, and recall JJ Hooper, until such times that Smurf will give you the funds, to bring in a proper goal scoring forward.

if Patterson gets a game before forrester , jones , cicilia or turner then something is seriously wrong . why would you get rid of hooper and bring in a croc of shyte ? seriously ! surely this cannot be the missing piece of our forward line :O
