The issue is not in question, but a discussion, once again, is being derailed by a few choosing to digress to blaming Smurf for all and anything that happens in the name of Port Vale F.C. - even using so-called 3rd party chats as a means to reinforcing their forum comments.

Like most I have concerns re. Smurf - particularly his using social media instead of the official website to make announcements, but I will always give credit where credit is due.

 

What I wont do, as seems to be the case with a handful of posters, is use any opportunity to bad mouth the man.

Yes I have a comment. There is nothing false in that tweet except Smurf's daughter claiming it is somehow the reason Smurf jettisoned his toys. So once again, what lies?

Not sure what NS is gaining from this.

 

The Sentinel is still a primary source of footie info for many fans but he seems to have some sort of obsession with "cut and paste" (he's said that for about 3 years) jounalism.

 

What does he actually want the paper to do?

 

In my view it's pathetic and it is particularly ironic that the paper's editor is a lifelong fan who has done loads to improve the paper's look and content in the last 12 months.

 

Perhaps the paper could sponsor a match to keep Smurf happy.

As an "ordinary" Vale loving fan can I simply ask what the hell this is all about?

 

There are far too many posts on this subject without any type of factual insight or knowledge of what is going through Smurf's brain in taking this stance.

 

There are presumably sides to each story but for Christ's sake get this sorted.

 

Vale and Smurf are becoming the laughing stock of fans nationwide for several reasons and I have to say I am very upset as a Valiant to constantly hear about fall-outs etc that can and will harm our Club.

 

I don't care who, if anyone is at fault here, simply I want it resolved and as a few have alluded to, it could be as easy as Smurf contacting the Senile and arranging a meeting to actually do something. If, after that there can be no compromise or solution then we at least know it was attempted and move on. In the meantime Smurf and whoever is in charge at the Senile.....pick your toys up and talk in a business and adult manner to each other, simple!

What they seem to report is fact, why it happened isnt part of that fact, it may be the cause but the report that they have been banned isnt negative its fact.

Perhaps they cant "kiss and tell" for fear of some legal action.... but hey... you seem to know... so spill the beans... let us all know.

 

So you think for absolutely no reason they have been banned? Part of the facts are why they (the rag) caused this.

 

It is however time both parties grew up, I like the chairman and I like MT but they are behaving like school children.
