My only change would be Innis coming in for McGivern.

 

I like Foley coming in from the left as it gives us an extra body in midfield, which helps us to control it. There's no point having two wingers as we don't have anyone to cross the ball to. Dicko and Purkiss coming back into a bit of form which has helped.

 

Let's hope Dodds doesn't have one of his 'missing' games as we really need him to be on top form to create a threat and link the midfield with AJ.

 

I think we've got the basis of a good team. If only we had a big lad to mix it up a bit up front (a la Uche earlier in the season).

 

Oldham have apparently got a bog of a pitch with heavy rain expected later - it's going to be a battle rather than anything and we've got one or two shrinking violets occasionally when the going gets tough. Get hold of the ball in midfield and we've got the quality to hurt them, otherwise if we make it a straight battle we might struggle.

 

An optimistic 1-1 but Oldham in real terms need the points more than us so I could easily see a narrow defeat.

Depends on how other results go tonight and whether the teams around us with games in hand hoover up those spare points over the coming weeks. Not to sound too pessimistic, but realistically, those factors plus our away form so far, must put us as an outside bet
