Enjoyed The Good Lie recently, and thought Bridge of Spies was superb.

After watched Bridge of Spies I discovered that Rudolph Abel was born in Benwell near Newcastle and actually went to the same school as me - but not at the same time before you lot start! He was the son of Russian emigres and his real name was Vilyam Fisher. Abel was one of his many aliases. He was also fascinated with radio as a child and used to visit the coast guard radio station in Cullercoats. That has now been converted into a bungalow where my mate Mungo lives!

To this day it still amazes me that no Oscars were picked up for The Green Mile.

I agree. It's a much better book and film than Shawshank with a superb cast and wonderful hidden meaning according to King. Shawshank is still wonderful though. Along with The Shining and Misery, the best of King's books translated into film?

Have to disagree, although green mile is great in my opinion shawshank is a far better read and watch, one of the films I can watch over and over along with the likes of inception, pitch black, interstellar, usual suspects and south park the movie amongst others. Yet to see star wars but wasn't impressed with spectre at all, a poor effort after skyfall
