Cash Turnstiles ?

So for those that used the cash turnstiles were they a success? Suspect NS will not be able to judge unless out of those that did pay on the day most used the cash turnstiles?

I came over from Wales for the game and it worked well for the 4 of us.As previously posted, there would have been a very large queue at the ticket office instead of the ones at the designated locations.Worth another bash, over Christmas maybe,to see once and for all if it's worthwhile.

I'd say almost certainly, walked up to the Paddock turnstiles only to be faced with a fairly long queue for the cash only entrance so queued and got a ticket. Only downside was whilst I was there I also got 1 for Barnsley:blink:

We went into the Bycars Pay Turnstile and had no problem whatsoever. I would say that as we got there we were probably 6th/7th in the queue and I looked across and there were perhaps 3 people at the ticket turnstile.

I must admit that requiring the EXACT cash was probably a ploy by Smurf in a bid to 'dumb down' the pay on the gate initiative - so too the idea of trialling it on a cup game....it would be interesting to see what the response would be for a league game.

that was methinks a violent storm could have caused a match abandonment so your stub could be used to gain admission to the replay.

That's a fair point, the only thing I could think of was by issuing a ticket, would that make it more difficult for an operator to fiddle the cash.

Were there different tickets for adults and concessions? Cash could then be tallied to the turnstile count.

I dread to think what the queues would have been like without the cash turnstiles. I went into the Lorne street with £20 for an adult and a concession willing to pay the £20 but the gateman gave me £2 change (thank you) so the exact money plan, if that was the case, didn't work.
Presumably out of the previous takings if the turnstiles were not given a float.
