Im with you, they dont add anything to our country, unfortunately its not for us to decide. But do you turn your back on our flag when the national anthem is played?

So pretending would be more respectful? He he didn't make any anti-British gesture etc he chose not to participate that's quite rightly his choice..are we really saying that he should not be honest to his feelings. You do what you do cos you believe it's the right thing to do..just as he believes what he is doing is the right thing for him to do.

 

You interpret his actions the way you wish.....

“If the poppy was simply about World Wars One and Two alone, I would wear it without a problem,” said the Derryman. “It stands for all the conflicts that Britain has been involved in. Because of the history of where I come from in Derry, I cannot wear something that represents that.”
