Fair play he has had a reduced budget, but that doesnt mean he has to waste it on utter rubbish.

At least 8 of our squad should not be there and 4 better players on better wages should have replaced them.

He wouldn't be my first choice but like Ajose he used to have a bit of pace and Crewe do bring up players the right way.

If Page wants to go with one up front, playing on the shoulder of the centre half, then he's the type of player - along with a big 'un - that we need.

Maybe he's homesick but he didn't do owt at Yeovil and his stats are depressingly poor.

But then again Sodje was the same and we transformed him.

Wise words again from TheSage, rather than the instinctive rejection from several people who I'd guess have never seen himplay more than a game or two. If RP says his movement in training is 'exceptional' then he is worth a look. He may turn out better than an overpaid lazy player who just wants to come here for a cushy number. If he signs, he needs encouragement and support, and a chance to show us what he can do.

Never seen him play and dont know much about him as a player but I do wonder if this is a dsign of desperation, possibly because we have missed out on other targets.

 

He could also be a great signing, only time will tell.

 

Whilst it is relevant how a player did at previous clubs experience has taught me that its not always a reliable indicator of how well they will do for us.

The only striker on our radar is one who asked to train with us? I thought Adams signings were lazy. Barely a league 2 player. Let's not worry though we have 15 midfielders, we'll be fine.

Don't know much about him but if we are to play 4-2-3-1. I think we need somebody to compete with Dodds in the hole. Doubt we would play both together as a strike force.

Am I right in saying Ajay usually plays as a winger rather than an out and out striker? I think it is pretty harsh to judge on two seasons at a team that were consistently getting pasted.

Agree V593. A Crewe supporting friend of mine actually rates him highly. He is strong and very mobile with good control. Yes he hasn't got the best scoring record but take Popes fluke season out and neither did he.

He didn't score many goals for Yeovil but at least he made 33 league appearances so he is obviously fairly reliable! Maybe he will come good with a decent midfield behind him.
