I think good PR from the club right now would be to release a statement updating us on what is happening with Inniss. All this talk that a deal was close etc needs to be addressed.

If I'm honest. I lost all confidence in Duffy and mcgivern last season, both seemed useless. It may have been because who they were alongside, Robertson was awful and probably cost us 15-20 goals last season and the one before that. He was too slow and rubbish in the air.

 

I don't think either duffs or mcgivern are good enough to play at this level, hopefully Smith makes the step up, or we get a loan like Collins in to play alongside street.

 

Not signing inniss would be disappointing but not the end of the world. I think with our squad at present we would finish 16th, with a Centre back 10th, with a good forward aswell top 8.

By now, Norman should have learned to keep quiet until it is a done deal. Don't tempt the fans and then snatch the optimism away, as you state it is worse than not knowing anything in the first place. Not many premiership chairman do their talking on social media.

Does Norman do his business deals through social media.....doubt it very much.

Must admit I do agree on this and even though the goalposts have clearly moved maybe it's better for the club to keep its powder dry until the deals are done as with pretty much every other signing of significance this summer.

 

I think the disappointment for me comes because O'Connor re-signing aside this would have been the best signing of the summer.

Could we offload McGivern? If he isn't first choice (and I don't think Page particularly rates him) then he'll want to go somewhere to play first team football, with the possibility of NI qualifying for Euro 2016.

I would agree - but isn't he on hefty wages? I'm not sure if any clubs that may be interested in him would be able to afford him?

It's Frustrating to think that if the likes of birchall Yates and Lloyd weren't offered deals then inniss would probably be a vale player. Instead we miss out and have 3 players who aren't up to it.

The main communication about us chasing innis came the day after the retained list was released and the **** hit the fan. I think it was damage control announcement at the time with season tickets in mind.
