With Willo there is no end product. blind alleys, miscontrol, loss of nerve, misplaced passes, weak finishes and mistimed attempts to head the ball yes, clinical finishing no no and more no.

 

To be fair I'd send for Arthur Skargill ahead of any of our own strikers at present!

I've seen Bratt both in 5 side a side and full football games. Actually he was a brute of a centre forward and made the defenders know he was there! As for Pops he too was a very decent forward and I had the pleasure of watching him many times in the local leagues when I was younger.

I have to say considering Grew is a goalkeeping coach in all my years I have never seen one of our goalkeepers improve. Most were good when they started and then regressed. I'm really hoping for a miracle and the match against scunny could be our saviour.

Whether we survive or not a fresh backroom staff and outlook are needed IMO.

 

Vale havnt had a decent goaly since Mark Goodlad .The likes of anyon and neal and spongebob the WWF Wrestler were rubbish to start with and just get worse my 80 yr old mother in law is better

Neal is an excellent league 1 goalkeeper. Not as good as Goodlad but he was quality.

so am I, if we lose by a cricket score on satdee you'll probably find page gibbering up a corner, on the other hand if he,as normal walks up and down arms folded without a care in the world then you will know his jobs safe for another season.

Totally true. Grew was a good keeper for Vale, but he has practically a meal ticket off the club despite not doing anything worthwhile in 20 years
