Can't see us bringing players in - only several players leaving the club by 11am on Monday.

 

However, wait a week and we may be able to bring in what is left by the other clubs maybe.

Against the top teams they produce the goods and look good, its just the teams below us who are going through a rough time, they fail to turn up.

 

Page needs to look at the fringe players and start using them and send a message to the prima donnas to start producing against these teams or your out.

 

Rochdale & Sheff Utd are the only twoo teams in the top 8 that we've beaten!

Not good at all.. I hope we improve next week :). We can't keep playing poor in one half and good in the other half. Far too inconsistent.. Sort it out Vale!!. Why do we seem to struggle against the teams below us?.. We play really good against the top teams and it makes us look good. But when we play the teams below us.. we seem to struggle and they become the Jinx teams for us.

 

Nice to see Calvin andrew on the scoresheet for Rochdale today. He has been on the scoring form of his life recently.. :).

 

Jeno Myrie williams also got his first goal for tranmere today so well done to both players :).

Simple, not good enough & same old back room staff - only 2 teams in our league lost more games this season ..

Very simplistic analogy - in any side you need a mixture of square and round pegs.

 

In all departments of the pitch, we've got too many of one type of player, and not enough or none of the other.

 

Adams built an unbalanced squad, Page is failing to address it either through misguided loyalty to his players or he is having his hands tied for some reason. I think it's remarkable how well we've done to pull away from the bottom of the table after Adams left but the idea of us kicking on to become a top half side looks very far away given the players at our disposal.

 

I don't think we'll get dragged back into a relegation battle but I can see the season petering out unfortunately without things being freshened up.

A lot of bad luck and some criminal defending cost us against a very very poor side.

 

First goal is a foot out when he shoots, the second we let their lad stroll 90 yards without putting in a tackle, easy save for Neal but takes a huge deflection.

 

Alternatively they clear one off the line that hits his own mans back and ricochets just over and two penalties that were not given (although we scored off the second phase from the first shout).

 

Poor decisions in key areas, Lines could of equalised but took a touch when he just needed to volley the knock down.

 

Worryingly we've lost to a side that got walloped 0-5 at home today and lost today to arguably the worst side we've played home and away. We need a win soon or we will be nervously looking over our shoulder and the Bradford game is massive now.

Last two results have been very disappointing, Rob Page has got the absolute best out of this group of players since he took over but injuries/loss of form and defensive frailties are starting to take their toll. Need a couple of players who can go straight into the first team if we can afford it.

Two rubbish sides in the first half then they score in the time added on for Veseli's injury - not sure from where I was sitting if the ball was over the line before the lad dragged it back and shot but Neal made a serious hash of it. Veseli's injury was a result of a high kick to his throat which the ref did not deem a free kick. Their second goal was a combination of kack defending an flukey luck for them. We let the lad run unchallenged then his weak shot was deflected past Neal who had it covered. We absolutely dominated the game from then on but a combination of poor finishing and extremely lucky defending meant we couldn't get the second goal.

 

We need to put together a decent 90 minutes though, not just a decent half.
