New Vale away strip

Looks nice. I was wondering what they were going to do at Notts County. Better than turning up and having another Grimsby/Bury/Southend/Huddersfield debacle.

Shame they couldn't get the GMB logo in white set up earlier.

In my opinion the away shirt would have looked better with continuous black stripes and the sponsors logo in white, and the goalkeepers shirts would have looked better as well.

The Football League have advised us that both our current home and away shirts are not acceptable to use when we face Notts County at Meadow Lane on Saturday 28th February.

We have, therefore, had no option other than to bring in a change away shirt for the game – a shirt which we will continue to use occasionally both this season and next.

love it! :) always like Fiorentina's purple kits over the years.

the shirt ISNT available in the club shop despite what the article says, it needs to be pre-ordered by the 4th and available on the 20th, apparently.

If the FA are going to be picky and presuming that usually Vale have a black/white home kit and an orange/occasionally blue away kit, is it worth the Vale always producing a limited edition third kit in another colour each summer?

I don't mean one with fan names in it, but just one like the one that has just been announced (in a non-traditional Vale colour).

If it was promoted in advance and fans could pre-order it then the club wouldn't lose any money as they would know in advance roughly how many to order, it would generate a bit more money and satisfy the FA at the same time.

...Sorry... for me, purple never has been and never will be 'a football colour!' Just more of the p***ing about with 2nd strips that clubs go in for these days....lime green, fluorescent yellow, pink, Notts County's own green/purple away strip etc. Just following a trend, to be different. I have to say I wouldn't wear this effort if someone gave me one.

Nothing at all wrong with the Bert Llewellyn/Tunstall Assurance all gold, black pinstripe strip - wouldn't have clashed with Notts Co. at all.

Rant over.

I love the wording of this:

'We have had no option but....'

except to use the black and yellow striped one from last year....

or the light blue one from last year.....

or have both teams play in their away shirt (which I distinctly remember us doing as home a few years ago)

Nope, no option but to get another shirt into the shop..... Clever Norman

it would be great if we could produce a reversible away kit, so you'd be getting 2 for the price of one. im sure people wanted even mind paying a bit extra for this.
