Textbook performance against ten men in the second half. Made the ball do the work and absence of Pope forced us into more football than just hoofing and hoping. The midfield all played well led by the brilliant O'Connor and fair play to Page for taking off the out of form Dickinson and the out of sorts Slew of at half time. Apart from the usual insane ramblings from Norman, a good day.

Lets be clear in the first half we were dire. Even when down to 10 men Orient looked under no pressure. The double substitution made the difference and once we got our noses in front it was a formality but lets all be honest most were wondering where the first goal was going to come from then Yates bagged a cracker.

Orient were starting to park the bus, before we scored. Totally different team in the 2nd half. No stupid back passes for Neal to kick out to their players.

 

For me this is a frustrating thing, that when we get the ball down we can certainly play. Why wouldn't we be able to with players like Lines and O'Connor? But Micky Adams ultimately is a route one type of manager and the DNA is in the side to convert to playing long balls from the back at every opportunity.

What's that strange number after the opposition team's name in the result?

I'm confused - was there some sort of mistake?

Seriously, thank Futch for that - don't care if it was against 10 men, to keep a clean sheet, have the manager make some sensible subs, and see Streete in action (plus Lardies and Shunters losing) means I can enjoy the evening pint.

On to Colchester - will Streete start?
