I'd try:

Neal,

Duffy-Robertson-McGivern,

Marshall-Lines-Brown-O'Connor-Daniel

Pope-Slew

3-5-2 with Marshall & Daniel as wing backs (positions they have played in their career), no place for Dicko who's in poor form & you could argue Pope needs a rest for Williamson but he is a goal scorer if we get the ball to him.

Subs: Williamson, Veseli, Moore, Johnson, Jennings, Yates

I'd play

Johnson

Yates Robertson Duffy McGivern

Marshall Brown O'Connor Jennings Moore

Slew

Think Dicko, Lines & Pope need resting. None of them have been at it last few games.

Daniel shouldn't be in first team. Slew must be pretty much match fit & only player who looks like getting a goal.

Drastic times call for drastic measures; therefore time to think outside the box. 5-4-1

Neal

Birchall, Veseli, Pope,Robertson, McGivern

Moore,Brown, Jennings, Marshall,

Slew

subs; Johnson, Duffy, O'Connor, Dodds, Williamson, Dicko, Lines

We were told that Veseli can play CB, that McGivern can play LB, and we know that Pope can head a ball(which is more than the last pairing at CB did)

Feel it has to be time to try this team. Birchall to me is not a winger and looks more suited in winning the ball and keeping it in the middle with Brown, should help the defence out, not seen enough of Jennings to convince me he is the answer in that particular role. Oconnor with a more free role behind Slew, who looks in form, whilst Popey looks bang out of form and needs a rest. No place for Lines as he dosent want to be there, his performances have been shameful recently. No place for Dicko as he isnt good enough and costs us goals. Robbo has to play because of his height, and Moore and Marshall should always be starting at home.

Difficult as it is, it's important that fans stay with the players and support them for 90 minutes.

Moaning and jeering and booing only makes things worse.

I really have no idea what team or formation he will play, and I know nothing about Barnsley's team other than I can guarantee that they'll sling a lot of high balls into our box!

I think I'd reinstate Johnson and Robertson, and give serious thought to playing all three subs who came on last night, along with Brown in centre midfield.

I'd like to see us sign a centre back on loan before then, if possible.

Pope was a bit out of sorts last night so maybe BW might start, alongside Slew.

He hasn't been at his best but Dicko wasn't to blame for the goals last night and he remains our best left back.

(Alternatively, close your eyes and pick the names out of a hat)

We have to try and address our failings so for me I would go with something like this:

Johnson

Yates

Robertson

Duffy

Dickinson

Jennings

Brown

O'Connor

Marshall

Pope

Slew

Subs:

Neal

McGivern

Lines

Birchall

Moore

Williamson

Dodds

Also anybody seen much of the young lad Nathan Smith would it be worth giving him ago in defence or is he not ready yet?
