The fate of Adams (assuming he does not resign) will depend on a factor of events starting with results. However the length of time he has depends upon.... the fans. Why? because they vote with their feet; or rather lack of by not attending games. This is particularly so for paying on the day customers. If income decreases, this will lose Smurthwaite even more money and I doubt it would be too long before he acted to change this.

I'd say with the money he's spent, I'd say he demanded it. If I was Micky and the attendance is low on Tuesday, I'd be very worried

Micky done a great job with limited resources however the signings tactics form and style of play along with the fiasco at the start of the season have produced the circumstances port vale find themselves in today. The buck stops with the manager, today's result even more reason the managers job comes into question.

I don't Mickey Adams team selection... Why continue to play 442 with lines and o'Conner? Defending starts at the front our midfield pairing are not defending well enough... Continually changing the bk line is only making it more unstable... Why can't Adams see that or think well... I've played 442 and lost 4 on the trot.. (Now 5) yet still persist with the same formation??? I just don't get he.. Clearly he's paid as a football mgr... But same formation and same result??? Try something different Micky or as you say face the sack!
