West Brom friendly.

For the West Brom match on Tuesday,Vale are likely to turn out their team for Saturday's opener against Walsall.

The Baggies lost their last match 1-0 yesterday in a friendly at Nottingham Forest.

Not sure it will be the team that will play Walsall tbh as I think Adams is still unsure on a couple of positions,also if we can bring a striker in this week that could alter things.

 

I think this could be a good game,has their new 10m pound striker been playing in their friendlies? hopefully they bring their first team squad and a few fans with them.

 

Ah just looked at the team and it doesn't look like he has played yet,it would be nice if he played against us

He should know what starting line up we are going with for Walsall by now.

 

So against west brom I'd certainly rest the key players to keep them fresh for Saturday.

I think West brom will bring a youth/Reserves and experienced team to play us but who knows... they might bring more first team players to play against us.. it will be a tough game either way.

Don't forget the prem season starts a week later than ours so they won't need to rest key players, in fact they will probably want to play them.

This is true, although a lot of teams played their last friendly yesterday. Just hope we come out of it injury free.

i dont think its any secret he's not wanted there, they would just rather hold out for a permanent deal than pay his wages whilst he's loaned out

Although as the first game nears they could loan him for the 6mths and hope he does well enough to attract a buyer in January

It will be a good workout.

 

Remit will be to not go crazy, no silly tackles, but try and keep competitive.

 

I think it will be a typical "friendly"

One goal either way will win it, if there is a winner and it will be a good training exercise ready for Saturday.

 

All that being said, if we lose 8-0 i couldnt care.

Micky has said he's going to mix and match again against Baggies to see which players are up for Saturday. After some displays in pre season he realises that there are still those that are very inconsistent so he needs to be able to rely on them. Suggests we are in for a " friendly" game rather than too competitive.
