What have they won since ? When he signed they had a great side , he ruiNed them.

You are right. It took them 2 years to win the league again after capello left. Completely ruined.

What have they won since? 2 champs league, world club cup, serie a, supercup etc etc

The game last night from which I'm still a little bleary eyed was a stormer, aside from the first 20 minutes against Chile then can be exceptionally proud with such a young team.

The Asian Cup that is coming up at the turn of the year will be a great opportunity for them :)

Its great when a team plays to win instead of playing not to lose.

From what I have read [not seen any world cup action] the lads from down under have done extremely well in this world cup. Give their all, played the game and played to win... Thats football at its best.

They did and were very unlucky not to draw against the Dutch. Shame they are out - Cahill scored one of the goals of the tournament.

We should be dropping Rooney or welbeck for lallana

I thought Welbeck had his best game in an England shirt against Italy, until he was taken off to try to accomodate Rooney because he was spitting his dummy out. Leilana would probably protect Baines better so personally I would agree and for me it would be Rooney who missed out. Wont happen though. Sterling on the left is crazy if its correct, personally I expect Welbeck to be on the left with sterling on the right.

Rooney has to perform. Basically its "**** or get off the pot" time for him.

Tonight I would go with:

Hart

Johnson

Cahill

Jagielka

Baines (Would have played Cole if he had gone)

Gerrard

Henderson

Sterling

Rooney

Welbeck

Sturridge

Rooney behind Sturridge, would usually pick Lallana over Welbeck but I thought he played very well against Italy.

Agree with that side because it is becoming established and conditions didn't help its inherent style last game, but cooler and wetter offers us more advantages. Lallana is a player of promise, but the objective facts are that he has played one season in the Premier League for an upper mid table side whilst Wellbeck has played several years at a championship winning club and competing / winning the Champions League. He also played in the last tournament for England. He is a different style of player but also far more experienced.
