Saw him play twice in the 1966 World Cup,his performance against North Korea in the quarter-final was immense and I would rate him third best I have seen after Pele and Best.

Who could forget the Portugal v NKorea game?My other vivid memory of Eusebio was him applauding Alex Stepney in the European Cup Final 1968.One of the all-time greats.RIP.

Immense player with a cannonball of a shot. Think he hit the bar from 25-30 yards against England in the semi-final before Bobby Charlton had scored, 1966 could have been very different.

Yes, a true gent - how many players would applaud an opponent, as he did in the European Cup Final, when he clapped Alex Stepney's save of one of his thunderbolt shots? A player from a different era, which was less hyped and more appreciated by those who were lucky enough to witness it.
