There was another challenge later in the game in the same place as the first red that was worth of a sending off as well as the stamp on Pope. Could have justifiably been down to 8 men!

Didn't think it was a red at the time, watched the highlights and still don't to be fair. I did think the tackle on Pope later was deserving of a red and can't help thinking the ref bottled that one because he'd already sent one of theirs off.

The players left the ground with both feet and jumped in.

 

It's a red all day long, I'm just glad jones saw it coming and jumped up avoiding serious injury.

 

They were certainly not the accrington side we've seen up here over the last few years.

 

Time waste (that was always on the cards though with 10 men) they were a horrible dirty side for me and kicked and pulled pope all game. You could say Beattie had it tough isolated up front but he looked very very poor.

To be honest, if I'd been sat there at the game watching I wouldn't have thought anything of it and would have been shocked at a free-kick/card. That's based on watching those highlights on my laptop. If it's int he rules to send people off for that I despair.

30 yards away in the Lorne Street more of a red card than Mcombe at Northampton,their management team should have been sent off as well.What a bunch of T***S,nearly caused a fight involving their subs.

was inline with it from paddock , deffo red, ref had good view, better than bench and comentary positions, thought 2 more tackles were worthy of a sending off but because ref had sent one off he let them both get off with a booking

I normally go in once a season just to get a different perspective. Really strange atmosphere around the ground, really quiet, even when we scored it didn't seem loud, the acoustics seem really poor at the Vale.
