The reason the likes of Byers get injured so often is that, as at Mansfield, they get targeted by the opposition thug. They work on the principle, stop Byers and you stop Vale.

Similar to what kept happening to John, the amount of studs left in on him this season with very little cards shown for it. John has been a standout player and that's why he appeared to always get targeted too IMO. Some horrible teams and they will get worse when we're in league 2 next year

Will we need a bodyguard on Onel, or is he too savvy

His feet are too fast to get clobbered.

I really hope today finally stops people clamouring for Sheriff. He's had one good game since he's been here. Genuinely no better than Loft.

Bloody awful player. Yes he is 19 but he ain't anywhere near it. I thought he would be like Uche but he's just not powerful enough.

Well thankfully that is finished, onwards and upwards, needing a goal scorer, creative midfielder, centre back and goal keeper.

Anybody who wants us to sign sherif permanently is basically happy with us having a topscorer of 6 goals across a a season and basically happy with us finishing 20th in league 2.

Sign Sherif as 19 a development player, we need 2 effective strikers for next season, assuming JB sees potential in Sherif.

All eyes on Tuesday evening or Wednesday morning now when the retained list should come out.

My guess right now is:-

Released - Gray, Hart, Ojo, Clark, Debrah, Amos, Ward, Magloire, Croasdale

Listed - Marosi, Shipley and think we’ll come to terms with Rico. Paton we’ll agree a deal with St Johnstone for him to go there permanently.

Offer terms - Garrity, Heneghan, Onel, Stockley

Of the loanees the only one I think JB might show an interest in could be Eli Campbell. Gauci is simply not a realistic option.

*haven’t included C.Hall as it’s believed he has a year extension clause.

Nah, he is an Everton development player, he won’t come here to get developed. I don’t see him going on to have a great career either, he is simply too clumsy and lacks the composure a great striker needs. Those are innate skills you can’t really coach. He simply doesn’t seem special enough to keep to me and he missed another sitter today.

He may make it in league 1 or 2 if he works hard, I agree, but I just don’t think he is worth pushing the boat out for and better prospects will be out there.

We seem to cling on to players who show minimal glimpses of competence. Quote this reply next season when he lifts off into stardom. 😂

Hang on, that sounds like somebody prolific on here who goes out of his way to argue with anybody who thinks different.

Problem is, we will struggle to get rid of all of the dross, then the better players wont want to play in lg2

Sherif no thanks ...

0 home goals scored in how many home games the team that is Sherif scoring 1 at home and 1 away

Vale better invest in Hernandez and players who can score and GO FOR IT

I can accept losing football matches but how many times at home as the entertainment value just not be there .

Last 2 home games ive being ive seen 2 on target attempts .

Its really poor yesterday i couldnt see what we were trying too achieve .

Sherif should have been replaced after 30 mins ,he didnt hold the ball up, he didnt create space for others, didnt head it on ,what did he do ,and surely a change should have been made earlier too change the dynamics of the team,  he just in his defence chased lost causes but surely as the  home side you should have at least 2 up there chasing lost causes .

Thats whst concerns me about Brady ,hes a cautious manager v anyone he believes are better than us and if we dont score first we lose as he doesnt seem too be able too turn a game on its head ,he may say he hasnt got the players but not in one game have i seen a positive lets send our best header of the ball forwards and something drops in the box

I say what i see and i aint seen anywhere  near enough good things be giving him a big budget .

Never known a season like it can always tell its a bad 1 as support are mainly quiet ,and put it this way the new breed of fan do not get behind the club as they would if had a team too stir them from the wake they find themselves in watching our players .
