Summer transfer rumours/speculation and retained list

I feel like this comment would be valid if we had just had a remotely enjoyable season.

weve just had one of our worst. In a season that was billed as a celebration. Weve backed the club and what we have seen on the pitch has been unacceptable.

onel has been a bit of light in a pretty dark season so i think fans would think maybe the club would keep him as they can see how much the fans have taken to him.

so there is obviously going to be a bit of upset if he isnt staying regardless of who's decision it was

As with all players it will be their decision, there is a limit to realistic wages in L2.

But there was upset when we got promoted last year. There was even upset when we were mid table in League One under Clarke in 2022.

My argument is some people seem to think we are tinpot because (in there minds) we are seemingly about to release a 33 year old winger who's been with us for half a season, when we dont even know what contract weve offered, what offers he's got, and the notion that it might be his decision to leave and not the club's.

You get highly emotional fans at any club, and ones that have irrational views and expectations. Most will be disappointed and maybe question it but i wouldn't say that means they are never happy with anything at the club

Onel is a special player, multiple standing ovations after appearances recently, something I've not seen another one of our players manage in an extremely long time.

Would be a huge loss to the squad and fanbase confidence as replacing with that quality is not easy to find. He has some natural abilities and close ball control that you just can't teach, you either have that or you don't as a player. And we'll surely miss it if he moves on.

Lets see what the official list says on Tuesday.

With Onel it is a massive concern that it took him so long to get fully match fit and even now that the season has ended I still don't think he is fully match fit.

Onel not long said he’d love to stay we surely can’t miss this opportunity to sign him up, but if he decides he will go elsewhere then good luck to him. I certainly haven’t said we’re tinpot if we don’t sign him.

Im trusting Brady will get it right anyway, looking forward to the retained list now.

UTV!!

Didn’t seem there was when Moore was manager

It’s clear as day we were scraping the barrel after sacking that buffoon so late. Onel signed to get fit and earn himself a better club next season. Simple as that to me.

Ready for ‘Magloire signs 3 year deal this week’

Really surprised Onel is not staying. To me he would be our differencial player in league 2 but Brady must know what he is doing.

To be claimed as a good, solid signing by certain usuals on here, along with bleats of 'Baa-ck the Baa-lueprint'!

Magloire is probably the Debrah permanent replacement and I can definitely see a timeline we sign Sherif or Faal as well much to the dismay of many, and the condescending praise from Alan Vit.

Whatever they do will bring criticism. But I wouldn’t be offering an unfit 33 year old wide player who seems to me to be a bag of tricks but suspiciously lacking in goals or assists and not much cop out of possession anything more than a short contract on big standard league 2 wages.

Can't see any good news coming any time soon.

The decent players under contract we have will want out.

Those that should be gone who are still contracted will stay

Onel looks like he's gone, far too good for us in league 2 in my opinion. I can only assume we offered him a deal but not enough

Stand by for Magloire being announced as a signing on Wednesday

Imagine if we sign all 3

I'm hoping it's Onel's decision not to stay - not ours!
