If we are following Brady's playbook of players on the up rather than on the way down then he fits the bill.

It could all be smoke and mirrors with OH, as perhaps under strict orders not to give anything away until the official retained list is revealed - which is fair to me

Im amending the old mantra to - "never fall in love with a loan player or a Cuban winger" 🙈😁👍

(or a crazyass brazilian for that matter) 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

I think he is just teasing people

Yep he’s clearly off. Probably get a decent club now we’ve been used to get him fit. Shambles we are

I’m a little confused why Onel leaving at the end of a short term deal during which he got himself fit makes the club a shambles, you don’t know the details of the deal he signed has it ever occurred to you that it was a good one for the club ?, perhaps there is little the club can do about signing him, maybe he is going back home, maybe he is going to retire through injury or maybe the club cannot afford him.

I was just about to post about that
What I will say is,if we aren't making him an offer to stay then it will need to be one hell of a signing to replace as he is the one real quality player that we have in the squad

Terrible decision.

Maybe it’s the players decision,

I feel like this comment would be valid if we had just had a remotely enjoyable season.

weve just had one of our worst. In a season that was billed as a celebration. Weve backed the club and what we have seen on the pitch has been unacceptable.

onel has been a bit of light in a pretty dark season so i think fans would think maybe the club would keep him as they can see how much the fans have taken to him.

so there is obviously going to be a bit of upset if he isnt staying regardless of who's decision it was

How many games has Onel been a “ bit of light “ for ?, unfortunately much as a swallow does not summer make 9 appearances does not a full seasonmake

He's played 19 games this season, including 6 in the Championship. I think there's more than enough evidence that he can be an asset in League Two with an injury free pre season behind him

Don't be so optimistic. We're all depressed here, we must put everybody down and question anybody who wants to keep any of our players after this season. /s

Did the clubs he played the other 10 appearances ( not games )for not want to sign him ?, I’m not saying he’d be a bad signing, he is clearly a very skilled footballer but so was James Wilson so is Byers, there are numerous posters on the forum demanding that we fill the team with hungry young fit lads but in their next post are demanding that we sign a 33 year old who was released by his previous club due to injury and claiming the club is a shambles if they don’t.

personally I’d say give him a go but it’s a risk that could pay off, but would he want to play in league 2 ?, maybe he would if no one the championship or league one were willing to take the risk.

Absolute no brainer to offer him a year IMO. Let's see what happens. You might not get 46 games out if him, but certainly at home on our new pitch, he would be a class above.

The same feeling that told me we'd get Chelsea away is telling me Hernandez will sign, and that he'll score against Crewe away next season in injury time.
