Summer transfer rumours/speculation and retained list

The biggest problem we've had all season is scoring goals.  As Brady said on Saturday, we are toothless.

We need some good players who know where the net is.

I would like to see us sign like an Andy Cook type of striker who has done and still is scoring in the lower leagues and a Tolaj type of signing like Danny Ormerod at Fylde

Then look at a young loan forward like Mellon at Burnley(currently injured),then that would do me for strikers

Cannot understand why Paton, Debrah and Clark sent out on loan and why Plant was and Shorrock disappeared completely off the radar.

Players do get shipped out or put in the bomb squad for reasons other than their ability.

Surely there must be somebody in the Academy who could play up front. Sheer madness getting aged decrepit free agents whose legs had gone (Danny Ward ex Huddersfield  was without a club and had a proven scoring record) and taking on a player from a club bottom of the Northern Premier League. Recent team selections have convince me that Jon Brady is Darren Moore wearing a mask

Only 22 over 21 players can be registered

Has BBB played at all for Millwall (or anyone) since signing for them last year?

No

Paton said in one of his interviews that the people at St Johnstone get his sense of humour,so i wonder if that might be an issue here....i am only guessing here though

I dont think the performances under Moore up until after Wimbledon game were that bad but some under Brady have been unbelievably bad and some have in fairness being very good

We have good players ,i maintain that whatever happened at end of Wigan game as destroyed our season ,many performances deserved better outcomes .

Who would i keep no idea ask me in 8 games

Strikers are only as good as the players creating chances for them.

Creativity needs to be addressed first.

The rumour is that Clark wanted a long term deal that couldn’t be offered at the time so he was sent on loan to get playing time rather than have to scrap for a place and save budget

same with Debrah - not going to be offered a long term deal so save the wages and let him play

I’m not convinced about Paton - he never really hit the targets you would expect. Scottish championship is not any better than league 2 generally

Agree, if no player is capable/willing to create chances from the midfield and then pass the ball into the oppositions box and also beat the first opposition defender how the hell can our strikers score.

But most of our strikers normally need 10 chances before they get one on target, for their goalkeeper to produce a world class save.

Youth midfielder Charlie Bussell has signed his first pro deal until at least 2027

He is 18 and described as a good holding midfielder, with a good range of passing ability,Brady has said it is left to lad now and what he shows in pre season whether he goes on loan or stays with the group.

I have said on here before that I wonder if Cameron McGeehan will interest Brady although he will be 31 when the season kicks in,he has a decent record goals wise from midfield and is out of contract at Northampton

I do think as well that if we are sticking with Brady then we need to be fair to him and allow him to bring in all his own backroom team and not keep him lumbered with DM's,i honestly dont think this helps the situation one bit.

Also lets bring Cousins back and throw him and Williams into the games from now until the end of the season

Whether we like it or not it does seem like Brady is going to be backed this summer like DM was if you read between the lines of what was posted by the club on season tickets

Lets just hope that it's a new recruitment team finding them
