Hasn`t the Blueprint for next season already been agreed? We don`t know the content yet.

Thats the problem we think only about the next season we don't have plans for the next 3. Other clubs do.

Yes enjoy your new hobby.

For me the whole season consists of v Blackpool (second half), Bristol City, Sunderland and Bolton. A few bits and pieces here and there.  Moore played 'not to lose' and to be honest even when he came in for Crosby did not do so much in his first half-season except off er excuses. Promotion with a relatively massive budget and the debacle which should have resulted in him going after Plymouth. Really piss-poor signings (albeit desperate in Jan). Capitulation after capitulation with a £6.1m debt to boot. A lot is wrong football wise, I don't see it changing in the current structure. How much say will Brady have? How good is he? Who recruits? I've had a fantastic weekend staying at my daughters in Maidenhead. Four of us went via train and tube to Chelsea. Great time talking to old-school Chelsea fans in a local cafe. Did a Radio Stoke and Midlands Today interview prior to the game - great stadium and area of London. The game itself was a debacle, we defended like clowns, the keeper appalling, gifted them at least 3/4 of the goals. 7-0 is embarrassing and to not have much of an attempt also. Expected so much from the players - they delivered - NOTHING!

After following the club through thick and mainly thin since 84 , a ST holder during all that time, except when Smurf  appointed Aspin ( no irony intended with your username) and when family played for another club you are right.

I totally agree with you. Vale no longer are the club for me.I can’t support the ownership, club management or manager so I’m not.

I have moved on to new hobbies.

Good luck next season, i fear you and your  fellow supporters will need it.

If you actually have followed the club since 84, and you are not just trying to harm the club, then you have experienced a relatively successful time over those recent decades.

If you really are genuine, then bin the self-pity and instead get back to supporting the club to do better in future.

Is it possible for someone to run a few polls on here or is anyone posting on here from the 'Fans Panel'?

Topics could be:

1) How much confidence do you have in the football set-up at VP?

2) How confident are you inthe existing Playing Staff?

3) How confident are you in Jon Brady?

4) How confident are you in 'The Recruitment Department'?

This is not a dig at the Shanahans', we all know without them we'd likely be hanging around with Macc' now. If anything, I feel desperately for Carol in particular because she has backed the wrong horses now for a few years in search of "The Dream". Not necessarily her fault for being so committed and loyal to PVFC and all of us but somewhere in the midst of all these dreams and squandered money the club has lost it's 'Football Identity', it's 'Make-Up', it's  Passion for success and it's empathy 'Football-Wise' with supporters who worry and ask big questions - "As to Why" this has happened and appears to look as though the malaise will continue.

It can't continue the way it has in recent times, the financial burden is too great with no obvious return. A thorough debate and if need be investigation needs to get to the root of this absolute P*ss poor performance on the pitch.

So sad, so very, very sad for us all, this should not be happening with the budget and facililities made available to our 'Football Professionals'

It was great to hear Carol on radio 5 early this morning. We are privileged to have her and Kevin to build and bankroll the club.

I agree with the post that we would be down with Macc without them….but there have been some mistakes along the way.

there was a lot of excitement and excellent work in the Rudge era….legends were born. Smurf and his wicked ways took our club back from that.

Carol should consider a DoF. Matt Hancock probably doesn’t need to go, but needs to keep to the commercial side, away from the football. He needs to understand that the fans don’t need to hear his marketing schpeel. It’s got nowt to do with Saturday afternoons at 3pm

so my wishlist is…..

1. Decent DoF

2. current coaching team to head down the A500 somewhere

3. Recruitment team need to follow down the A500 somewhere else

4. a clear out of the high earning senior players out of contract

5. a hard look at anyone who is not willing to commit to fitness (the team looked on the fat and slow side compared to Chelsea)

6. go back to building the youth. We have brought in aging and poor players. Tolaj was a dream purchase. We will always lose these to bigger teams, but we should be scouring those teams in the lower leagues. Young and hungry

7. some work on psychology.

8. finally a bit of BADDASSS. Teams need to fear us. Physical….going for every tackle, no tippy happy piss around pass at the back. Great play off the ball, ball going forward. Get the ball in the box 30-40 times a game. Get physical

We need to realise that we need to do this on a budget.

not much to ask! UTV VTID

I think a poll would be a good idea...but unfortunately at the moment the answers would be all to predictable. Zero confidence in the lot of it.

This season has been more damaging than the last relegation for me. There was at least the arblaster/devine period of good football before we capitulated. This year has been the single worst campaign of any football team since Derby in the prem. A truly unlikeable group of players with no sense of team identity. Thats been the kicker for me. We arent possession based, we dont do route one, we arent a dirty team and yet nor are we squeaky clean. We have nothing that we are identifiably good at and thats really really demoralising as a fan.

I can see Brady being backed and I hope we look at recruitment next summer with a focus on youth and long term identity rather than a short term fix to return to league one with no plan when we get there.

If you hate them that much just stop going. BUT, if Brady does turn this around next season - and he's got a track record of doing just that, then please do not come back because things are going well and be a Fairweather type.

Don't let the door hit you on the arse on the way out m8

I was not going to post on this thread until the end of the season but hey, the season is over now anyway.

It’s a total reset for me that includes manager and coaching staff & recruitment staff.

I would release every player out of contract apart from Garrity & Stockley.

Garrity I would offer a 1 year contract to be extended by another year if he reaches a certain amount of appearances.

i would transfer list Marosi, Shipley & Paton.

The first thing that I would do, within 48 hours of the season ending, is to make Martin Foyle Director of Football.

I really do not want a summer transfer window led by Brady & Co because I fear this will set us back back a number of years

Fairweather! FFS This is my 50th season! Whatever... Did I say I hated them - NO. Vale is my club and unfortunately as deragatory as it my look, I have an opinion.

Blimey osh if you can’t take negatives don’t come on the forum or just block people who have negative opinions . It’s a forum that expresses people’s opinions good and bad

I agree that fans who are seething with our worst league season in living memory should just "pìss off down the Brit".

Why have a winning mentality, when you can have a rimming mentality.

Opinions Osh ?

We all have them. Some of yours over the years have been utter rubbish to many people.

I cringe at many words spoken from fans who i know are true Vale fans and have been for many many years. We all hurt at times like this season. Is has been garbage.

There is a lot to put right, on and off the pitch. I just hope Carol and her family, have the heart and the finance to continue.

Oh and one more comment on Carol [ and family ] i really believe they do not have the know how so please appoint a ' football person ' as a matter of urgency.

Yeah. And Mrs Osh would agree I talk rubbish quite regular. You m8 are in the boat too.

But Vale Park would be a block of flats now without Carol and Kevin. And, so far, she's put her money where her mouth is.
