What's a medic got to do with a broken bone? Is there something in their magic sponge that cures it?

No, the point is that Byers was injured at Mansfield on 17th January and Isak was injured a month before then and is only just coming back. Liverpool will inevitably have better options for treatment and rehab (medics) so it’s not surprising that Byers is still not back yet!!

That's true but a broken bone is a broken bone... your point makes a bit more sense for muscle and ligament injuries (imo, but then I'm not a doctor or physio)

Severity of breaks can differ and therefore heal at different rates.

Not sure what Byers has done. Is it a broken bone? Not sure how you can compare it to someone else when none of us are medical professionals and know nothing of each case.  Being out for 3 months with a broken bone is unfortunate, not much we can do to prevent injuries like that.

For our league two campaign i really think we need at least big CB a bit like Aden Flint(not saying him though) but 6'4 and strong

Also an experienced striker who has done it before(especially if Stockley goes) in the Andy Cook mould

Well who ever we sign let’s play them in there correct position. We have a silly history of playing people in the wrong position. Horses for courses let’s do our homework better and smarter.

It’s not just about the manager having contacts either. The club already have their own contacts with agents and scouts that will already be feeding information into the club. Plus we should already be planning for next season and potential targets. The downside of a “lesser known” manager like Brady is not many players will know what he’s like to work for unlike a DM or a DC who have been around the block more.

I was at an event with Mick McCarthy the other week and he asked whose replaced Darren Moore at Vale. When I told him Jon Brady, his response was that he had never heard of him

Not surprised considering his football was just as dire as Moore's.

Mick McCarthy managing at Championship and above level up to International, has never heard of a barely Football League manager with mostly non league experience, isn’t a big surprise. Memes aside, McCarthy is becoming increasingly irrelevant in football for younger players now.

Would expect a lot of players dropping down the leagues to feel the same way too. Gary Walsh probably has more name recognition than Brady in league football, even though he’s pretty ancient now and most young players weren’t alive when he was playing top level footy.

Pete has said that a number of Championship and foreign sides are eyeing a move for Lorent.

Well..............That's that then.

If I’m advising Lorent I’d suggest a move to Celtic if they are in Europe so he can get another big move in a year’s time. Spurs might be in the market for him though if they go down. Another loss for them today.

I was talking about Mick McCarthy and not Jon Brady 😉
