Do we have a sell on clause?

Sorry DD but that is utterly laughable. We’d be on less points than we are now and probably already relegated as I doubt we’d have got past Fleetwood in the cup so not so many games in hand. Brady has earned more PPG without the use of players like Byers for the most part than Moore did.

Also that Blackpool game we’d never have come from behind to win as we almost never did under him as at least Smith had the foresight to go 4-4-2 second half. Moores answer in a rut was just to throw on all the strikers he had and hope.

Well looking in seems funny quite a few dont want play for Brady .

i mean what did we do keep Johnson we did nothing ,and replaced him with a kid from Everton ,he lets Debrah go replaces with Magloire,he gets rid of Paton whos all round game is good and replaces with sherif who aint ready at all ,on our 150th game Anniversary most fans left on 63 mins as the performance was nothing short of pathetic ,cup wins kept him in job in fairness and he talks the talk .

Vale have  sold 1030 season tickets for next season , so far so some believe in him.fair play too them but overall i aint attended since Bradford i dont see a identity in pur style of play ,score a goal and boot it anywhere Brady .

All irrelevant should have done more keep MJohnson no point in having strikers if players cannot get too the byline Curtis could ,oh yeah hes gone aswell, its ok we will just play 9 at the back and still leave wingers free and still concede ridiculous goals.

We aint scored in 21 games this season

A shocker of a campaign wont SCORE though if play 9 at the back .

Ferguson it should have been instead we have a league 2 manager .

I agree with some points, the jury is still out on his ability to sign good players certainly. Many people defend him saying “well it’s all who would join” but for our situation, paying no players and sticking with what we have is better than buying and wasting money on poor players until the good ones appear. That’s what I would be telling fans. It’s also what a shrewd manager would do.

The sad reality is the likes of Gray, Hernandez, Magliore, Sherif have all contributed next to nothing and that’s good money wasted, although you can perhaps make a slight case for Gray despite his lack of goals. I think he has shown some good leadership skills when he has come on and still shown signs of driving a team forward when needed.

A good manager can galvanize a team and although I think there may have been wider reasons, the fact Curtis, Johnson and Cole walked out has to say something, as they are all experienced players who will know what a good manager is.

I would bloody hope so. If we don’t that’s mad especially as Plymouth still have yet to pay all their fee. Overall the Tolaj deal is one of the most poorly handled situations in recent years. With such a low buy out clause, we were basically saying if your a good player you can leave. Which is just an insane position to be in for a club that I assumed wanted to be established in league 1.

Correct anyway good luck on bringing in the right players and keeping hold of the excellent in league 2 players

With Hernandez i think he could get something out of him, but he aint going flourish at the back ,didnt realise he was Phil Neal ,but he as something offer, just how we set up with everyone behind the ball and boot it too G Hall, is probably alien too Hernandez, get him up the pitch and pass it too him in areas where he can do what he can do

A Gray shows glimpses

The others  Archer runs about a lot so Brady will  love him, i dont see running where it hurts opposition though ,Campbell no not for me doesent control the play going forwards a young lad like him should be bombing down the left all game ,the fact he doesnt well what does he do lots of crosses come in he doesnt block them, in fact his best performance was in centre with Gordon and Magloire v Huddersfield .

Anyway UTV roll on

I am fairly sure that at a fan's forum at Plymouth, their manager told the fans that there wasn't a sell on clause. If not then heads should roll. We should have re-negotiated Tolaj's contract at the end of last season.

What if Tolaj didn`t want to?

Do yo you know he was offered one and turned it down. He seemed happy enough here when he was with supporters celebrating promotion at the end of last season.

He went, it doesn`t matter whether he was offered one or not. Of course he would celebrate a promotion of which he was part. I regret his going as much as anyone, but that is football.

Unless a sell on fee was already written into the release clause we're screwed surely? I don't agree that "heads should roll" if not though. We took a punt on a non-league striker and agreed to sell him on for 20+ times the fee we paid. Pretty good business really, the sort of deal Rudge used to be lauded for!

Tom Cleverley said at the fans forum Lorent didn't have a release clause at Plymouth nothing was mentioned about us having a sell on clause but I think we will definitely have one given that Plymouth didn't actually pay us the full £1.2m as they are paying it installments instead (rumours were also going round a few months ago that they actually missed a payment but whether that was true or not I don't actually know). I think the deal was that Plymouth couldn't pay the full fee straight away so we allowed them to pay it in installments as long as we had a sell-on clause deal in place. A bit like what Micky Adams did when Jordan Hugill left us to join Preston.

Tolajs advisors could have turned down any advances to extend their clients contract when they realised that he could score goals in the Football League.

Far be it for me to defend the club, but they also hoped Paron would have had the same impact Tolaj had, shows what a gamble signing players is.
