But Vale Park would be a block of flats now without Carol and Kevin. And, so far, she's put her money where her mouth is. 

We get that osh and all fans including myself appreciate what she and Kevin and the family have done but it could and should be so much better with the investment made and just because they have invested millions doesn’t mean they still can’t be accountable in situations

If it was me pumping money in like she has I would definitely get some people who know what they are doing to guide me

Trying to keep on topic but I really hope Brady (and anyone he trusts to spot some talent) are out there today scouting next seasons first teamers.

By the way VV, I don't have any problem with anyone criticising Carol/the club. What I do have problems with is some of the utterly hateful commentary on here and some of the ridiculous suggestions.

Has Carol made mistakes. Too dam right she has. 

Would I trade her for anyone else. Not on your Nelly. 

She is 100% committed to this club, putting her money in to it and Burslem and Tumstall. 

We need a clear out of some of the <ovf censored> players and give Brady a budget to rebuild.  Others have said on different threads that that could take a few seasons, but I guarantee this same people will be the first to pan and call for his head if he doesn't have us as Champions next season.

We've wasted millions of pounds and the recruitment team is largely to blame. 

Some transparency in the accounts would be appreciated. I'm sick of reading about "undisclosed" fees in and out.

The number of signings that have been successful over the last two windows has been very worrying. Brady’s signings in January have been rubbish! Gray, Hernandez, Magloire (or whatever his name is) and that other midfielder, along with Sheriff and the other youth from Everton, although he's been the best of the six. Have I missed anyone? 

Humphries, Shipley, Marosi, Faal, Brown- nowhere near good enough for L1, as has been proved. Again, have I missed anyone?

That’s kinda what’s worried me….the signings. We’ve splashed a load of money on two signings who haven’t played for ages and consequently nowhere near match fit. The odds even at that stage pointed to us going down so why bother?? Or - the million dollar question - why no pull the trigger about half a dozen games earlier to give yourselves a better chance in the January window.

This system of transfer windows has been around for, what, 15 years now, and it is amazing that we still haven’t the faintest idea of how to deal with them. 

Whatever we say about recruitment, the summer before last it was actually good. Tolaj, Stockley, Croasdale, Heneghan, Amos, Byers were all better than what we already had.

The problem was they weren't good enough once we were promoted, and the club was arrogant enough to think we just needed squad filler like Gordon, Faal, Shipley etc when actually we needed to improve.

Having no plan for when Tolaj got poached was criminal. 

Signing Marosi who had been in decline in terms of form and injury for the last two years was stupid.

The only signings who, on paper, were better than what we already had, were Gabriel (good but injury prone), and Humphreys (now in rapid decline and seemingly not arsed). Negligence. 

The fact of it is when Moore could rely on a big budget he could attract players by his profile and the pay packet. In a more competitive market we had to be smarter with our recruitment and we failed.

We have got far, far worse since Darnbrough got involved. How that serial failure managed to get a job God only knows. He should be out of the door first, followed by our Head of Football Strategy (whatever that is) Matt Oakley.

We've got to be the worst club in the country for January transfers in. Micky Adams was the last manager who did well at it.

I like Jon Brady, but he's got a lot to prove in the summer transfer window. He has to get it right. Vale fans (myself included) won't tolerate anything other than success at L2 level. 

The pressure is (rightly) on!
