Summer transfer rumours/speculation and retained list

January and summer are completely different prospects.

Come to a team who can’t score, get beaten every week and are going down, also we’ve just sold our only decent players so it’s going to get worse - Jan.

We’re rebuilding, we’ve shifted who we can, be part of a new dynamic with a flexible budget and lots of room for recruitment, at a club recently successful in L2 with a successful L2 manager - summer.

Summer sounds good...which team are you talking about 🤣🤣

When I watched Brady’s interview on PVTV I see that the clueless muppet that is Hancock put out a video of his monthly update yesterday.

For my own sanity I couldn’t click on it.

Id rather have Flitcroft back as director of football than that political gormless clown as CEO another week longer.

Imagine putting that idiot in charge of footballing operations and Carol thinking he’s doing a great job.

The club is messed up at the top with an owner who might have been a successful businesswoman but in the world of football couldn’t run a bath, never mind a football club.

7 years in. 17 million in debt. No footballing assets on the pitch. About to sink to the bottom tier of pro English football again. A squad of utter tripe. A manager who doesn’t know what to do next. A CEO who wouldn’t get a PE teachers job. And an owner that we will NO DOUBT be seeing a lot of this week in tv and radio in the build up to the chelsea game.

This club is rotten.

When will Carol start to sort this <ovf censored> out?!!!!!

I will keep saying it. Hancock to the foundation or the kiddy’s crèche. Or sacked. Just <ovf censored> relieve the smug clown of his duties from this role Carol for <ovf censored> sake.

Flitcroft was a major part of the problem. Predictive text ironically wanted to type "process" when I was typing "problem" 😱

For those who said we didn't need a complete cull(so to speak) are they still thinking that??

I was quite harsh in my original post BUT now i might not have been harsh enough and need to add a couple more to it who i said i would keep

I aren't that fussed if they all went.....this club needs a whole new restructuring, new CEO(we know wont happen),new head of recruitment(Foyle please) and possibly a DoF.. now i await the usual, who is paying for all this, well those who are to blame for this imo, whatever happens it NEEDS doing if OUR club is to finally progress

I said mgloire should be first out the door but after seeing cams interview yesterday he’d be first out for me, he really doesn’t give a <ovf censored>. I’d only keep John and G Hall the rest can go.

Interesting people want Brady out, why though? He's working with a limited budget with a failing team, he's tried to move people about who want the door. He seems bothered and tries.

If it was his team, that he built and asked for, he could be blamed, we have injuries and no proper squad depth, people above him are the problem. We have a community manager running the club and give DM way too much time.

If not him who?! Who could have honestly fixed this mess.

Brady gets all of next season for me. If things are looking up by Christmas then we extend his contract. If not then we can just run his contract to the end of that season and both parties make an amicable break when it expires. I think with his previous track record in that league at Northampton the former is more likely. People can talk about January but as has been mentioned by others I don’t think that’s a fair summation of what he’ll do as you’d have to be a complete mentalist to choose to come here in our present state if you had other options.

A good start for him will be a total cull of the out of contract. Only one I’m wavering on might be Stockley but he can’t be a first choice option. Transfer list others under contract he doesn’t want and hope someone will cough up a bag of balls to take them too.

Just going back to the discussion on the retained list if there was any doubt before almost all of them can <ovf censored> off for me. We need a completely fresh start and thankfully it sounds like JB agrees if he holds true to his post match interview.

What did he say to make you think that?

Why don't we just move grounds and change the name of the club at the same time? People complain about the disconnect between the team and the fans, how is having a whole new squad going to help with that? Might be easier to get rid of players than sign new ones if we get a reputation for being that harsh.

15 odd points adrift of safety, only won once in the league against 11 men all season with no sign of ever making that two wins, and you think keeping this lot in the basement division where this happening again means Braintree away is a good idea?

His PVTV one was a lot harsher than his Radio Stoke one which is interesting as it was the in house one. Basically said the players were not good enough and shouldn’t be at the level before saying we just need to get through to May 2nd to recruit some players who will.

He was also asked by the interviewer on PVTV about existing players proving they belong here and while not saying anything he had a look of pure disgust before the interviewer quickly moved to the next question so it said a lot without saying anything. If I was one of those out of contract players I’d be putting the house on the market.

Keep G Hall and John. Maybe Garrity if he is fit enough. I'd probably keep Waine too.

I think it must be quite difficult to get motivated to play in the league when you are 10+ points adrift regardless of how you try. The fact that we beat Bristol City and Sunderland suggests that we have better players than their league form suggests.

Everyone should watch John's Iptv interview from yesterday.

The overall impression is how tf did a professional club let it get to this stage and the mess we are in.

I should imagine he doesn't think very highly of DM in the slightest and can see straight thru him for the almighty clusterfk he has left the club in .

They’re the same players who got us in that 10 points adrift hole and they by and large didn’t look good then either. The league table doesn’t lie at this point.

Humphries is all that is wrong with the squad, just doesn’t care, he strolls around the pitch, doesn’t break sweat, he’s given countless goals away this season and I don’t think he’s bothered. He’s had more bad games than good games and think he’d much rather be anywhere else than fight for league survival.
