Of course Croasdale and ojo aren’t good enough. But this is where we are as Byers and garrity are injured due to shocking fouls against them

yes Stockley isn’t the answer but at the moment he is the best bet of anyone fit

no in a perfect world archer and and waine would have stayed on but Brady said they were fatigued 

yes gauci kicking is horrific but Amos is virtually unpickable after Mansfield 

 

if Brady had been in charge at the first game of this season we wouldn’t be in this mess.

I bet the people moaning are the same people who think Paton is Ronaldo in disguise and the same people who were demanding ojo played earlier in the season

We still have the same back room staff as D M had so training is the same way goal keeping coach 1000 games but the  keeper can't keep a dead ball kick on the pitch why Brady needs to get his own  staff in

I agree, Brady has 3 wins, 3 defeats, 1 draw overall and it’s not his squad, he’s having to do the best he can with what he has to play with, he’s signed a winger who was decent today, seemed to get the best out of Waine today but ultimately he’s lost our two best midfielders to injury, had a half fit Stockley he is having to manage and out of form Brown and a defence that isn’t working whatever mix of players we seem to try there. 
 

He will get more options in the coming weeks with Gray, Sheriff, the return of Byers but until then he is working with the mess he has inherited.

As with Moore in the last relegation he deserves time to be judged on his own squad but that’s for next year. As it is now he’s hamstrung with a mess not of his own doing.

 

I thought we did well to stay in the game considering the midfield. It's a proper league 2 midfield and Croasdale makes me wince when he's on the ball..he's so far out of his depth it's painful. Ojo looks like he should be a good player but he always chooses the safest option. As a pairing they're awful and slow. It shows once again that Byers and to a lesser extent Garrity are our most important players. Garrity with the running and physicality and Byers who can actually pass well to a team mate. We'll struggle without them in the side.

C Hall shouldn't be a first choice in league 1 but that's what we're left with. His distribution is like a pub player.

This squad has 4 or 5 decent players but a lot of them are nowhere near the standard. Moore has a lot to answer for...His recruitment process was ridiculous in the summer and we're now left trying to hold on in games because we've got half the team full of league 2/non league players.

I thought we could have done better in the January window especially signing a midfield player.

Our midfield is a little "Samey" and injury prone. Marc Leonard with substantial Lge 1 and some Championship experience who played for Brady at Northampton and went to Hearts on loan would have been a good signing, perhaps we tried for him perhaps not but there must have been others worth a shot.

I hope Brady et al have the network and contacts to make the summer window a very good one.

I have said for months now that we have no pace at all in midfield no matter who plays there and that hasn't been addressed at all which is why a lot of the time teams run through us no matter what system we play,even Waine ended up chasing a man and catching up with him in OUR area after Ojo slipped.

Brady confirmed Garrity is out for a period of time 

On a side more positive note, we talk about players not improving with us but credit to Waine, after August I didn’t want to see him again in a Vale shirt, looked absolutely miles off EFL level, today fans are raging he has been taken off, good renaissance, five goals since December 2nd and not played a massive amount of minutes, imagine he’s currently trending at least 1 goal in 2 since that point if not better.
