Unlucky Waine. Been excellent today shown the effort that they all should

I said this when many were ripping him apart on here that there is a good player there if we gave him a run in the side, which is what my Plymouth supporting mate said they should have done with him.

He caused them a lot of problems today and i hope he gets a run playing that position now,he is one who i think would do well in League Two for us and score goals. At 24 there is time for the right manager to turn him into our next Tolaj

They had better players all over the pitch than us. Burton Albion. Let that sink in.

I'd take John, Archer, Waine and Gray over their equivalents. It's a modest claim but we were worth the draw.

I agree, Brady has 3 wins, 3 defeats, 1 draw overall and it’s not his squad, he’s having to do the best he can with what he has to play with, he’s signed a winger who was decent today, seemed to get the best out of Waine today but ultimately he’s lost our two best midfielders to injury, had a half fit Stockley he is having to manage and out of form Brown and a defence that isn’t working whatever mix of players we seem to try there.

He will get more options in the coming weeks with Gray, Sheriff, the return of Byers but until then he is working with the mess he has inherited.

As with Moore in the last relegation he deserves time to be judged on his own squad but that’s for next year. As it is now he’s hamstrung with a mess not of his own doing.

Brady did have the Jan transfer window to shape the squad more to his liking but I thought he could have done better with both ins and outs. Contrast that to Moore who was appointed after the Jan window closed and didn't have such an opportunity.

That post pretty much sums u up

Oh well can't please everyone can we

I shoot from the hip , I dunner like sugar coating things unlike some on here

You can't lay the blame on Brady for this. He's made 1 or 2 odd decisions but most managers do. He's inherited a complete sheeiteshow. Any team in League 1 would struggle with that midfield. You could argue he could have played Walters but I can understand him wanting experience.

This isn't like Moore coming in when we had a real chance of getting out of trouble. To even encourage anyone to sign for us must have taken some doing.

Burton have had all season to fine tune their squad and way of playing and that's the best they could come up with. We've had to completely resculptutre our way of playing, team and formation mid-season, so it's not massively surprising that we're not free flowing. We'll go down this season and then the real work starts in terms of building a new squad and way of playing.

I thought we did well to stay in the game considering the midfield. It's a proper league 2 midfield and Croasdale makes me wince when he's on the ball..he's so far out of his depth it's painful. Ojo looks like he should be a good player but he always chooses the safest option. As a pairing they're awful and slow. It shows once again that Byers and to a lesser extent Garrity are our most important players. Garrity with the running and physicality and Byers who can actually pass well to a team mate. We'll struggle without them in the side.

C Hall shouldn't be a first choice in league 1 but that's what we're left with. His distribution is like a pub player.

This squad has 4 or 5 decent players but a lot of them are nowhere near the standard. Moore has a lot to answer for...His recruitment process was ridiculous in the summer and we're now left trying to hold on in games because we've got half the team full of league 2/non league players.

I agree with a lot of what you say, especially regarding Connor Hall, but there's no use bemoaning us missing Byers or Garrity, because when they're in the treatment room as long and as often as they have been during the last two seasons, they're as much us to the team as I am, sat in the Railway Stand.

I agree. Which goes to show that the recruitment to cover for that has been awful. You can't rely on league 2 players as your midfield back ups, especially when both have to play together.

Waine was very close to being MOM today, as was Kyle John, however, I noticed that someone on here had commented earlier, that Waine was awful in the second half. Jeez.

What we can't afford to happen next season is keep players in the squad who are on the treatment more so than on the pitch contributing. I think we all know by now who these players are. Can we afford such luxuries in turbulent times. I don't think we can.

Waine was everywhere, chased back from the final third to come back and hunt down their lad driving forward, that effort of the bar and inch lower is a piece a brilliance from the knocking their man off the ball to the drive forward to the strike.

When it comes to Waine it makes you wonder why on earth he was left out of the squad for 3 whole months earlier on in the season.

Brady confirmed Garrity is out for a period of time

This is possibly the vaguest statement ever.

I thought Waine was comfortably man of the match today. Deserves a run in the team on effort alone but there was some good quality from him as well. Excellent performance

You can understand why Brady wanted him when he was Northampton manager.
