Faal must have some dirt on DM or something for him to keep playing him. He really is dreadful.

Faal over always reminds me of the old ron atkinson quote talking about carlton palmer when ron said he can trap a ball further than I can kick it.

It does in hindsight, I disagree that it was obvious he was going to do what he did.  Just as many look unstoppable in non league and fail at league level as those who go on to crack it.

£1.2m is a lot at our level, I think only Gareth ainsworth has ever left the vale for more than that.  Granted things have moved on since then, I'm not daft.

Its the hindsight that's making it look like it shouldve been higher.  He promising but nobody actually knew.  If it was that obvious, football would be very easy indeed.

Completely agree with the last bit, unbelievable that he was played out wide.  Thank god Stockley had the first half a season that he did.

When you say 1.2 mill is a lot at our level it makes us look tinpot.
we played Peterborough yesterday. How many of their players have gone for 3 times as much at least these last 20 years at our level?

Ainsworth was 30 years ago almost. That was massive money then at that level. Tolajs fee was an absolute bargain.

Quickly going off tangent, I hear people saying we can’t pay Moore off. I’d say we can easily pay him off with what we have made in the cups this season.
Like I said yesterday, he’s probably on around 4k a week at best. Around 1 million over 5 years. He’s got under 4 years left. There’s 700k Darren. Thanks for coming. You’re god awful dreadful.
The money is there to pay him off. The deluded hierarchy still think he’s the right man.
This football club ownership beggars utter belief.

I agree 100% that he has to go but i will still be attending league because as i want to support my club(that's not me saying you are wrong not to by the way) and not the manager BUT no way will i be attending the FA cup game with him in charge

Hmm you know I’ll probably end up doing the same despite my anger…after all we have been through equally bad, I mean I was still going to games like Colchester at home under Aspin….but I can honestly say nothing over Christmas if he is here and that means no away games or Blackpool on NYD.

Its a good point re peterborough,  they've been doing it for a long time and made fantastic returns on a lot of players.  They've been in the championship off the back of it.

Let's not forget they've got Ricky Miller in common with us though, so they don't hit the target with all of them.

I don't think it makes us seem tinpot particularly.   Has to be taken in context and, let's be frank, Tolaj and Paton are the first signings of that type we've made since the 90s.  Ie, from a low level with potential to make money on.  That release clause depends on a lot of different factors.  Players will favour a lower release clause all day long won't they as it means they can get a move easier if the offers there?  So if a rival for his signature had gone in with a £1.2m clause and we don't match it then our chances of signing him become compromised.  So maybe we did go a bit lower than we planned?  We'll never know what went on.

I was encouraged by it because its the kind of strategy we need to implementing if we want to progress realistically.

Again, completely agree on the last bit.  And I really hope we see sense and get him potted ASAP.

No thread for this so I thought I’d put it on here. From PASOTI Argyle forum. The team coach caught up with the Senior Greens supporters coach on the services returning back from Donny. Tolaj and Hazard went onto the supporters coach and spoke to them. Top bloke I’m pleased he’s out of this toxic boiling pot that we are, at the moment.

You must be such a disappointment to your family

That’s not a nice thing to say , Brian.

It baffles me how we can be playing at home with basically 3 forwards then abandon all attacking intent after the first 20 minutes and start playing like we are trying to defend the 0-0. We are easily the most unadventurous team in the league. Every game a borefest and they wonder why fans boo.

Either our players are not fit enough to press high for more than 20 minutes or that is the plan but we do it week in week out. Start well, miss a sitter or two, then drop back and try to hold on.

I want DM gone and a new manager installed with time to get some players in before the window closes and I want plant, rico and shorrock back. If DM thinks faal over is a better player than rico he should find a different profession.

Who was the Manager when Tolaj was signed? Did Moore influence his signing for the Vale?

That makes no difference whatsoever.
He should have known he was an out and out striker if he was the reason he signed him instead of playing him out of position like he does with most of our players. Just like George Hall going to right back yesterday.
Hes <ovf censored> clueless.

People need to wake up she is the problem. What has she actually done that people think is so great? Maybe she can compose another one of her letters again telling us we are wrong again?

The only positive I can take is we’re so unbelievably cooked that we can appoint a left-field manager in January and just go for broke. It can’t go any worse. Might as well go down having tried something.

I don’t trust the IT-Charity board to get it right, but maybe we’ll stumble on something from the National League or U23s. We’re beyond the powers of a journeyman

I will get pelters here but maybe a Robbie Savage type
