I was extremely positive about her and the club in the summer, but have had my mind changed through perhaps the worst 4 months of PVFC’s history on the pitch and a refusal to address the problems causing it.

He has to go, but even Moore couldn't get anywhere near the 1983 season under John McGrath when we only had 6 points at Christmas.

And McGrath was sacked by now!

Yes, and that event started a great period for the club on the field.

For the life of me I cannot figure out how he is remaining in his post. Carol and Kevin ran a successful IT company, so they should be familiar with statistics. The stats on Moore in L1 are shouting out to them what is the right thing to do.

Moore has had sufficient opportunity and all the evidence suggests he cannot turn this around. The first time around he had Crosby's team, but now this is his team and his tactics and the results are worse than under Crosby, for what must be a considerable increase in cost to put this squad together.

So, this is my guess, and that is all it is. It is more expensive to sack Moore than suffer relegation. Whatever happens, surely the lesson to be learned is to never appoint a manager on a five year contract.

You see, that’s a blatant lie.
Devante has never ever played at a much higher level than Uche. So do your homework.

The highest they have both played in is the championship.
And if you want the stats…

Uche in the championship. Played 64 and scored 9.

Dveante in the Championship. Played 38 scored 1.

Well I have to say that’s genuinely surprising, I knew Devante had been on the books of Man City and made their bench a few times, but clearly no appearances.

I would say he is certainly better than Uche was for us last time and certainly had stiffer competition for a place at West Brom, Wigan and Barnsley than Uche has had except Boro perhaps.
I mean Wycombe in the Championship, Uche was their leading man.

We have fewer points at Christmas now than we had when Sinnott was manager.

Both Rudge and Sinnott were only a few weeks into the job in 1983 and 2007 respectively.

We were newly promoted and bottom at Christmas (17 points) under Rudge in 1986 but we turned it around in the new year.

I was referring to the summer why was a deal not sorted in the summer? Every man an his dog knew he was going to eventually play championship football because he’s a good footballer. 1.2m was a joke and yes it’s got nothing to do with why were in this mess but that’s just another kick in the teeth by people that run this football club!

You are presuming Tolaj wanted a different deal. I've heard he only ever wanted Vale as a stepping stone to a bigger, better club.

Paton didn't  look very  happy  at points during the  game. Apologies if it has already  been  mentioned,  I haven't  read the whole  thread.

Sweet Jesus do you really think Barnsley tried in that game?? Look at the goals a the players that scored them a you’ve just said faal was like faaldinho 🤣🤣🤣🤣 not a chance he’s a footballer.

If Barnsley weren't  trying to win it why did they play their full first team and risk them getting injured? They could have played their youngsters and 2nd string. It doesn't make sense to play the team they did and not try and win the game. In fact if you are going into a game when you are not committed then you have more chance of picking up an injury.

Paton wears his heart on his sleeve and quite often shows his frustrations. I think mostly about himself. I think he showed a bit of frustration when he had the ball inside their box and instead of having a go himself tried to play another player in and made a mess of it.

He just seems like a figurehead! In his interview he sounded deluded and that he couldn't teally give a toss!

What really gets to me is when he doesn't us or we or our fans, its always port vale or vale winds me up,it's like he is the opposing manager talking about us

He has never connected with the fans imo

We had more points at this stage in our awful final Championship season (5 more points!)

I think he may have been frustrated by some of the decisions given by tge officials. If you wanted to see a face full of rage it was G Hall when the Faal entered the pitch. He turned towards the RP and to say he looked fed up was a complete understatement. I don’t know about Cole he was on the left by the LS and I don’t know about Stockley who was still on the bench. A decision like that would hack anyone off, not just the three named. Most of the RP were as well.

Due to DM’s lack of tactical knowledge it’s causing problems on the terraces. Vale fans fighting with each other at Luton. Stewards in the RP amongst the fans who were arguing with each other. What have we turned into. A few very negative comments regarding the owners as well

Oddly there has been virtually no social media stuff the past 48 hours, we haven't even had the 12 days prize thing, which I get yesterday may have been pulled in respect of the fan who sadly passed but nothing at all today.

Yep, I noticed that they haven't even posted anything in regards to the 12 days prize thing today and it has all of a sudden gone very quiet.

Very true, our 2 early goals knocked the wind out of their sails, where would we be if that had happened in 3 league games, 9 pts better off?
