Match Thread - Port Vale v Peterborough Utd

Should have sacked him WEEKS ago. Instead we’ve messed about sending the club CEO or whatever his title is to joke about how they believe he can win football matches. Absolute shower.

Haven’t been today and won’t be going again until he’s gone now.

And to top it off, Tolaj scored a hat trick. We’ve traded relegation for £1.2million because it looks entirely likely he’s gonna score the goals Plymouth need to stay up. Ffs.

<ovf censored> off, Vale.

Hindsight a great thing. We've given the lad away haven't we. Hopefully big sell on clause.

Bring back Bruno Ribeiro.  At least it would be interesting !

Genuinely that’s what’s needed. A bit of a laugh, a bit of spice. We’re finished and appointing some pudding is futile.

Might as well swing for the fences on some nerd from 2.Bundesliga. Hansa Rostock’s U23’s assistant or something. Just let me feel something.

I think that’s pretty much the season done already, and it’s only 20th December with 26 games still to play. An absolute shambles.

Darren Moore’s League One record with Vale is damning:

Played 37
Won 5
Drawn 10
Lost 22

That’s 0.68 points per game. Carry that on over the remaining 26 matches and we’re finishing on just over 32 points. Rock bottom.

What I genuinely don’t understand is what Carol and the board are seeing that the rest of us aren’t. Moore has had the chance to build this squad himself, and on paper it looked a cut above what we’ve had in recent seasons. Yet we look miles off it.

At this point it’s not bad luck, it’s negligence from the top. We’re watching the same mistakes from 23/24 being repeated. Moore should have gone after Plymouth. Instead we were told by the CEO that the stats are good and training is good.

I’m honestly lost for words. The 150th anniversary season is becoming one of the worst in the club’s history, and that’s down to a board who seem determined to ignore a loyal fanbase who can see exactly where this is heading.

Enough.

Moore out.

So you keep saying. Hope you've got the money to replace her!

Tactically unforgiveable today. His interview is the same old bore fest. They're scared stiff of sacking him because he was "a big name" for Vale when he joined us.

Lucky to have him at little old Port Vale don’t you know!

Totally pointless letting Vale ruin your Christmas.

When the clueless clown in charge puts our strongest threat going forward at right back, and brings on Faal, you know it’s panto season.

A pantomine of strikers.
A pantomine of midfielders.
A pantomine of defenders.
A pantomine of a manager.
A pantomine of CEO.
A pantomine of football ownership.
A pantomine of a club.

Just have a good Christmas everyone and don’t get frustrated at the “them against us” approach, who live in their millionaire bubble.

On to Boxing Day to watch the defence do another Benny Hill sketch.

It’s now that bad it’s actually laughable.

Is a pantomine worse than a pantomime?

Oh yes it is!

It’s time to go. Like it was time to go weeks ago, Darren. Ultimately while I think you’re right, we are not far away from being able to get results; you are not the man to take us forward.

I honestly dread entrusting this man and the current recruitment setup with the task of transfer triage to keep us up. I believe they will fail. There is no record any of them have at Port Vale, Darren included that suggests the tide will turn under him.

I hope Carol does the right, difficult thing and make changes. She will feel right to feel the supporters’ angst but we are not all wrong just because stubborn people in charge say otherwise.

Astonishing as it may seem a team featuring 5 different keepers, Reggie and Sam Kelly took it to game 46 at Fleetwood .

This pathetic bunch be down early April mathematically.

The exact same mistake as 22/23. Only 20 months ago we got the telling off letter for being so wrong about Flitcroft, who was then sacked.

Its staggering. The hubris is appalling. We proved our worth in that fateful campaign but one promotion and they’re all geniuses again who have figured out football and can ignore 6,000 fans who have watched decades of football.

Even after owning the club for 5+ years Carol still doesn’t understand… she never will.

Referee was absolutely garbage along with Railway lino.

@darren1810I am full of praise for women's referee but I'm afraid that she was definitely the worst female referee that we have had to date as she was giving all the fouls Peterborough's way and I saw our players getting their shirts pulled on numerous occasions and fouled yet she wasn't giving us any freekicks. The Railway lino was bad in the first half as he missed numerous offsides but in the second half he was even worse as he gave them a freekick when our player didn't even touch him, he was giving them throw-ins when it clearly came off their player last and he couldn't wait to give offside to our players the worst offside that he got wrong though was when he flagged offside against our player (I think it was G Hall) who was nowhere near the ball when another player was running in who clearly wasn't offside yet he put his flag up.

Darren Moore. In a nutshell, a manager who is not quite good enough to draw 0-0.

It's concerning that after the substitution, Paton looked at the bench and asked what they were meant to be doing. Nobody had a clue.

I think they all should go and TBH how I am feeling watching the same turgid rubbish pumped out week in week out, I wouldn’t even mind a Colombian pineapple farmer as our new owner.  With the arrogance of all at the club, you reap what you sow. Three years from now we’ll be in the National League. I’ll still going providing we’ve got different owners. Please don’t tell be careful what you wish for.

Headley asked too.

Headley also fell out with someone in the crowd. Was quite unpleasant .

IMO we got worse after Connor had gone off injured.
