And yet at the end of last season. He publicly stated that he would like to stay at the club for the rest of his career 🤷🏻‍♂️

Proof?

My word. If that's unacceptable, disregard my comment and move on.

What do you mean by in bits? As in they’re upset? They’re all in separate cliques?

As in crazy decisions being made, and players baffled by it.

Yep, he is clearly lost the dressing room and the players have definitely downed tools. Usually when that happens it only goes one way.

I'm not so sure.  For the 1st 25mins, or so, yesterday I didn't see a side that had "downed tools".  When we conceded that seemed to change everything.  I see a side that is fragile.  Yes, it is down to the manager to change this, but it is not really the same thing as the players not wanting to play for the manager.

Saw a thing on Faceache. Apparently OJo had posted on SM that he was OK and doing Lift ups on a door.
Moore should have got rid of him and he needs sacking for it.
it shows there is obvs some discontent but to me however talented OJo he needs binning off

Funny how people see things differently. I have no issue with Ojo doing that if DM has lied through his back teeth. We'll never know I suppose

IWasn’t he supposed to have been moaning his face off last time we went down and playing <ovf censored>.One bad apple and all that

We will, Thank you

I read the PASOTI (Plymouth Argyle fans forum). You could copy and paste the comments and just change the initials DM for TC and vice versa. They’re still mightily impressed with Tolaj and claim he is their only player trying.

And things can change quite quickly.

A bloated squad, certain players frozen out and others seemingly undroppable, a series of incredibly bizarre tactical and personnel decisions, at times an incoherent rotation policy, a lot of morale and confidence-destroying late goals conceded/batterings.

It wouldn't surprise me if the dressing room is gone. It looked that way yesterday. Garrity's body language suggest it is and has been for a while.

Moore's entire thing is keeping everyone happy. If he's lost that then he has to go tomorrow morning. Surely Carol will see this?

This is entirely consistent with what we're seeing.

We've gone from a team who would battle till the last, to a team that crumbles as soon as they concede.

The captain is a walking sulk - almost his way of communicating to the fans that things aren't right.

Obviously the very predictable Ojo strop.

5 new signings not in the 18 yesterday - players without the bond of the promotion season immediately being told that they're not needed.

While the usual suspects are relentlessly hounding the manager (and rightly, to an extent after today), I think the issues run far deeper than just Darren Moore.

The recruitment, while good in parts, has been dire in others. Only Gabriel, Humphreys, Johnson and Cole are what you would call League One standard players, the rest of our signings were squad fillers, increasing quantity and not quality - Waine, Marosi, Faal, Shipley to name but a few, while others, like Brown, are hard workers but lack any real cutting edge.

So the recruitment team must also take some of the blame. Last year, our recruitment seemed good, picking up experienced players who could handle the physicality and technical requirements of the division like Stockley, Heneghan, Tolaj, Curtis and Amos, but obviously backed by a big budget for the level.

This year, since Lee Darnborough has been involved, we've signed dross that no one else wanted, the aforementioned ones above being good examples, so our squad building wasn't a matter of improvement, but finding cover.

You would have also banked on the recruitment team having a plan B if the inevitable happened and someone came in for Tolaj, which they did, and we were caught with our pants down, meaning Moore went after a player (Brown) had been after since before Darnborough's arrival, and Cole, a player he knew anyway.

So what was Darnborough and the recruitment team doing?

The players also have to take some responsibility. They shouldn't be excluded from blame here, they have made enough mistakes that have cost us goals through ineptitude or lack of care. Moore can't legislate for Debrah doing what he did against Stockport, or Gauci letting the ball go through him for the first today, or Curtis heading the ball across his own box at Wigan.

So they need to pick their ideas up too.

There is some reasonable concerns to be had, and I think a lot of people who are sensible see that, whereas a couple on here (thats you Nippy and you Swanny), come across as illiterate thickos who just want the manager fired to suit their own ends, rather than the good of the football club.

In short, Moore has been at fault today, but laying all the blame for this season squarely at his door seems incredibly short sighted when it seems there are issues that go far beyond him.

If Carol sacks him, then he will have paid for negative tactics and overcautious team selection, but its naive to think a new manager (and there aren't many decent ones out there, let's not forget) will wave a magic wand and change things straight away.

Great post m8. Quite rounded and well argued

For me I don’t care if the new manager is exciting. Just need someone to get results to keep us up, as that has now got to be the target. We can worry about the quality of football next year if we manage to survive.

Yet, if you read through all of these posts, there are so many saying they hate Moore Ball etc, so - yes, it does matter of the style of play is exciting.

I'd hate Evans to be out manager.

That's not good enough m8. If you are coming in here saying that you have to substantiate your source ...

Serious accusations

I said at the after the Stockport game that me and a friend saw Croasdale look to the sky, as in a "here we go again" look, when Moore took Byers off for yet another striker.

If we're losing in the second half, he changes to school ground tactics of everyone up front. Then we have players going for the same balls and no one having a clue what position they should be playing in.
