I'm not so sure.  For the 1st 25mins, or so, yesterday I didn't see a side that had "downed tools".  When we conceded that seemed to change everything.  I see a side that is fragile.  Yes, it is down to the manager to change this, but it is not really the same thing as the players not wanting to play for the manager.

Did you watch the second half capitulation or not ?

Your previous comment is spot on. Players are baffled by team selections, form players coming back from injury not picked, bizarre tactics not practised in the week, bizarre substitute decisions.

Thanks for clarifying, So it deffo looks like the players are p#ssed off with Darren  continually f#ckin about with team selection on a weekly basis , it's no wonder the players can't be arsed

Players aren't the only ones!

3 wins in 15 games, which is the lowest number of wins in the division, and shockingly only one win at home it is starting to be indefensible.

For those saying give him the window I say he has decent players already giving him more to not get the best out of won't help. For me his issue isnt personnel its selection and tactics. Especially his substitutions which consistently seem to make us worse. There is a reason we rarely win after falling behind and its a combnation of poor attitude, poor substitutions and poor tactics all of which are down to the manager.

We have the best collection of strikers I can remember us having all at one time cole, stockley and paton are all goalscorers then we also have waine, brown and faal who are not at the same level but even faal has as many goals as willo got in both of his last two seasons with us. So the problem isn't lack of goalscorers, we have the best midfield I think we have ever had in terms of depth I mean byers walters, garrity, croasdale, shipley, ojo, curtis, hall and we also have shorrock, richards and plant who we sent out on loan because we have so many decent players it was decided we didn't need them. Our defence is less well stocked as we only have 4 cb's and we play 3 every game but we have gordon, clarke, john, headley, johnson and gabriel fighting it out for two wing back slots (injuries aside). So the problem isn't in midfield either. Our defence isn't the best but they have looked excellent at times so actually I don't think they are that bad I just think we invite pressure and eventually that pressure will force an error out of us. I also think we end up having so many defenders in a small space that they get in each others way and we have nobody higher up the pitch to give it to when we win it back.

Surely nobody can honesty tell me that we don't have a team in there capable of finishing mid table in league one

The problem has to be the manager.

Based on Moore’s interview’s he would struggle to motivate me to run out of a burning building!

Love how you take the word of a random no mark on here

Cheers. I am a random no mark who is friends with a member of the family of a current Vale player. You don't have to read what I wrote, just as I've no reason to fabricate <ovf censored> on here.

Don't worry BJ, he would take the word of Peter Pan if it meant a pile on.

A genuine question, and not a dig, how do you think Jayden Stockley would feel knowing that you've shared what, if true, he presumably intended to be a private conversation, in a public forum?

If it helps resolve the problem, then he'd probably be relieved.

I wonder if Darren hums the words to the song We're on the road to nowhere while he's standing on the touchline , just a thought 🤔

I might be the only one here but i honestly dont get the clamour for Ainsworth.... please dont let us ruin another legend in our eyes, there are plenty to still choose from who could do a good job here with Carols backing and i hope some we look at would be currently doing well in jobs

Some people only rate people they've laid eyes on.

It's why a number of fans are still obsessed with Nathan Smith, or you get people saying we should bring back Micky Adams as manager, etc etc.

It's only because they don't know anything other than Port Vale and they'll fanny off to Wikipedia whenever somebody else is mentioned to see if they are any good.

Shock horror players not in the team are unhappy when the team is losing and question the managers decisions.

Yes, I'm sure he does.

I wonder if Tony Naylor ever looks at this website and wonders:

"I'm really glad that guy uses my name, he's so eloquent and not at all repetitive, and is one of the most highly educated posters on the board."

Yes, I'm sure he does.
