I dont think he'll stay at Plymouth either; he's hungry for money and further success.

I think he'll at least go to the Championship (not sure he's good enough for the Prem) and I think he'll want to stay down in the South - so you might see him at Southampton, Portsmouth, Charlton or QPR.  I think, if he keeps on scoring, then you could see £10m plus

He will go I imagine for whatever his release clause is. Their fans suggest that could be as little as £2.4 million, but who knows.

Did chuckle at their forum about “why would he go there” after rubbing our noses in it, the same reason why he left us for them. More money and bigger club!

If that happens I think you will start seeing some really disgruntled fans really stating to question the ownership of the club. Losing our best player and another creative one to a league 1 relegation rival is one thing. But losing probably our most consistent player to a league 2 side would be something else and I think fans would start kicking off.

Are you talking about Marvin Johnson? If so he hardly played for us and was clearly a stop gap. Yes he did well and had a good left foot, but is he really going to be missed?  On top of that he’s an easy player to release if we are trying to get bodies through the door. Also isn’t he  mainly a winger /wingback? Hes not a left back which is what we need. I also think there is no shame or drama in players dropping a level if they are moving to clubs going in the right direction. Clearly Chesterfield are.  I don’t think any fans are going to be disgruntled with the owners at Johnson being picked up by another club either. I think that’s a bit of an exaggeration. Besides, it’s the manger that’s made the call to release him.

The one thing that really gets on my nerves about the current Vale set up is the pace at which everything moves. There is never any sense of urgency in anything we do. It’s both commendable but suicidal at the same time.

Another day ticks by, no one in to improve this bin fire of a squad. Wonder if Lee Darnbrough is back from his Xmas break yet or if we are just getting the red button from every club and player we try to call.

I think you will find we will be last minute.com. Matt hinted only a couple in and out’s. I personally expect  that to be loans in and out.

Trouble is you could go through every single position except RB and make a really good case we need a player for that position.

Dreadful position to be in.

Nobody mentioned Celtics interest in Tolaj -£5m?

It will just be papertalk. Celtic have been linked with every striker out there at the minute due to their situation. They were linked with callum wilson last week and apparently tried to get kyogo back on loan from Birmingham. Both on wages way to high for Scottish football.

I think Tolaj will be at Plymouth for at least the summer until a championship club makes a bid

He can't play for another club until next season anyway

Strange as there's normally random rumours floating about players coming in or leaving by now and I've seen nothing.

Stands true for what happens on the pitch too. Everything there is too slow.

Is that still the case if he moves to a different country, which in football terms Scotland is?

A player can only play for 2 clubs in the same nation but can play for 3 clubs in a season if the other team is not in the same nation. So, yes, Tolaj can play for Celtic this season.

Already played for 2 clubs this season so no point in going in Jan

Does that apply to just England though?  Might be ok to go to Celtic.  I don't know, asking?

Fifa Two Rule:

In the related FIFA regulation, the Regulations for the Status and Transfer of Players, Chapter III: Registration of Players, Article 5.3, it stated that:

“Players may be registered for a maximum of three clubs during the period from 1 July until 30 June of the following year. During this period, the player is only eligible to play in Official Matches for two clubs.

So, he can move, but can't play until July 1.

player can be registered for up to

three clubs in a season, but FIFA rules generally limit them to playing official matches for only two clubs, with a key exception for overlapping league seasons (like summer vs. winter starts) allowing a third team, provided all contracts are fulfilled. This means a player could move between two different associations (e.g., from England to Japan and back to England in the same calendar year if seasons overlap) and play for three clubs across those competitions, but not for two clubs in the same national competition

While I get that, i'd imagine that there will be more than one club interested in him - as such, it could be a bit of a money-war for his signature. Which could be good for us.
