You might not be suggesting a DoF structure but nearly all clubs are operating this way now, so it’s likely part of what we get.

A lot of fan opinion will be what it looks like to them, she is by all accounts very friendly with staff that you can argue isn’t in the best interests of professional decision making. I don’t particularly understand why it’s appropriate for her to take on friendships with players and their wives, attend team training functions etc in pre-season. It’s all very weird.

I might be wrong of course, but wondering why the leadership is poor, is going to be part conjecture without being on the inside. They could be the definition of insanity, not understand men’s football, not learn their lessons or all or none of the above. You can disagree with what someone’s supposition as to why is, but underlining point is it hasn’t been good enough - not just from a fans perspective but business as well.

NW9, I'm diametrically opposite to you on the subject of work colleague relationships, preferring to develop a good rapport and friendly, strong, caring relationships but realizing that everyone is different. In my experience it leads to a motivated, trustful work place which is more productive. The opposite can result in a toxic work place environment which can get destructive very quickly.

Staff treated well and with loyalty will accept both bad and good news if there is solid evidence to support a decision, eg Vale's league position in Darren Moore's case.

Your criticism of the club comes with the benefit of hindsight. PVFC leadership has made decisions on football and non-football matters which they believed were the right ones, I'd say most posters on OVF were saying the summer signings were mostly good albeit that we needed another striker which was satisfied with the addition of Cole, unfortunately Tolaj left.

I don't consider the leadership at PVFC to be poor, could some things have been done better, obviously yes given the league position, but when did league position and football become logical and 100% predictable.  Hindsight in football truly is something all clubs would love to have.

I honestly don’t think fans appreciate the mental damage within the squad.

Installing confidence within the squad that we are capable of scoring the first goal is difficult, it has been lacking for too long. Over the next few weeks Brady needs to find the solution, probably from within the current squad.

Special issue of the Valiant tomorrow. I wonder why?

I have to disagree, my memory is that a good number of signings (Marosi, Waine, Shipley, Brown) were met with scepticism from a good number and the usual "typical vale fans give them a bloody chance..." crap that comes with every dodgy signing.

Unfortunately, Mansfield fans did say that Waine was nowhere near this level. Shipley also couldn't get a game some weeks in an awful Shrewsbury team. Marosi we thought might be ok, Brown ditto as he'd been making the Derby squad. Where I think most of us knew we hadn't done enough was in central defence. To bring only one 1st team central defender in was criminal. We've seen before that Hall and Debrah aren't quite up to this level.

But don't forget, the prevailing OVF wisdom is that you should never listen to opposition fans opinion on a player because of that one time Akpo Sodje was better than his previous clubs fans made out.

Mathematically we aren’t down, mentally we are. Even with a few wins under our belt, somehow, the minute we lose the 1st goal heads will go. It’s going to take such a long time and a clear out to change that mentality “here we go again” when we concede. That mentality extends to the fans as well. We all feel it.

MBE,

Asking politely once again, please would you speak solely for yourself?

You’re fully entitled to express whichever views you hold.

You’re not at all entitled to arbitrarily decide that you speak for all the fans.

You don’t.

In the last 3 weeks or so, I’ve watched Vale win 3.5 games out of 4, if we include the first half against Mansfield.

(Followed by a weak capitulation in the second half against Mansfield.)

That includes coming back from a goal down to thrash Blackpool 5-1.

So we are not down, mentally or any other way, except in your own negative imaginings.

I’m very impressed with the turnaround already begun by Jon Brady and Gary Mills.

And I’m committed to offering them all the support I can muster for their continuing efforts throughout the season.

I see Baggers says that Brady is targeting wide players in his search for new signings

I don’t know why we don’t try and get Ennis who is a winger on loan at Fleetwood. Give him the ball and just let him keep putting the crosses into the box for the marauding Cole & Stockley, to launch themselves at.

Because Man Utd are not going to  cancel the loan for a player to be loaned back out to shiit team in oblivion at the bottom of League One

If that happens I think you will start seeing some really disgruntled fans really stating to question the ownership of the club. Losing our best player and another creative one to a league 1 relegation rival is one thing. But losing probably our most consistent player to a league 2 side would be something else and I think fans would start kicking off.

No you won’t.

Great move for him if he’s going to Chesterfield.

They can pay decent wages, they are fighting for promotion to League One and it will be close to where he lives.

You are talking absolute crap per usual

We have won 3.5 games 😂😂😂😂

you absolute condescending #%##%^

Just to indulge Alan for a moment, if we judged the table by half time scores we'd have 21 points. 23rd place, but 8 points adrift.

Marginally better, but not by much.

The team worse than us in the first half? Northampton 😬

You're talking to a brick wall unfortunately BJ, we're obviously massive and in a better place for a young loanee to play their football.

Alan, Ok that’s a bit weird to pull me up on a phrase  Here we go again it a phrase… as in I’m saying here we go again same old story. Of course I only speak for myself.

Your always committed to whatever the club do. Your like that Lego movie when they all keep signing Everything is Awesome. Good luck to you.
