The growth in the amount of folk, wanting come see us play is fantastic ...

I remember on week days mainly tuesdays 3 .5 there, loyal to the core ,so if 10k do turn up thats magnificent in my opinion ,ok only 8k Vale fans but all the same thats a 4.5 k uplift so shows theres something building quite nicely and worth watching .

Be the fourth over 10k in a row if so .

Going be a special atmosphere , the players should feel ten foot tall as they step onto the Vale park surface .

Go snd express yourselves as Gazza would sing and enjoy it

If your going cheer and lift .

Not all of those will turn up though,I dont think me and my lad will be there sadly(already had my money anyway) down to Sky

So my guess will be around 8.5k which would still be good for a Thursday night

Trust me I hate missing home games but some of this sky business has messed it up for me(mainly the Thursday night ones, although i made Notts County but had to leave with 15 minutes to go),it does make me feel better though that they have my money whether i go or not.

Love my football with my lad though so i might even have to swallow my pride and go watch one of the Daffy Duck cup games to make up for it

Hell yeah. This was the lineup and subs in the opening home game of the season.

I'm struggling to see who would get in our 11 - Hall & Garrity aside. The sub options for L1 were horrendous.

DM's record in L1 is far better than DC.

Which season is this MBE? I recall our first home game  starting 11 was even worse than you say, since Ellis Harrison didn’t join us until the end of August with Tommy McDermott playing as an emergency striker against Fleetwood, with our scorers being Smudge and Connor Hall.  Vivid memories of that game since the family were in hospitality as a treat  for my nonagenarian  old man visiting from Australia.

This was first game v Fleetwood think Mbe may have posted a different match by mistake.

What about v Exeter 0 -4 defeat .

Over the years in league 1 we create chances to score be something

I think on Sat first away game we had 19 goal attempts our last stint in league be lucky if had 19 away goal attempts in 7 matches at end of that campaign in this league to me thats already got me excited about whst Vale 25 /26 can produce and will produce

So thats why im positive going into this campaign add Alfie Devine and a few others and we be ready to entertain for sure

Buzzing for thurs and its Mon .

Is it? I think the jury is out on that one. The DC squad was great early on in league 1 until January. I don’t think we have shown football quite as good since under DM.

That's a good point but I still say Rudgeys team in the late eighties and early nineties was different gravy most of the football  was bloody mint and great to watch , I enjoyed watching Micky's Vale side too especially the season we got promoted and absolutely battered Burton 7-1 also enjoyed watching  Darrel's Vale side with the siege mentality and Darren Moores side played some decent stuff last season too

Well absolutely. I wouldn’t even begin to compare a well funded 4th division team getting promoted to what Rudgeys teams did. Even the cash strapped Micky Adams side was far superior.

We played some good stuff last season, so we should, Carol bankrolled a strong side.

I did enjoy Page’s side too which was still the most successful Vale side in league placing since the McPhee promotion push season in 2003.

This was 13th August 2022 -1st home game of the season against Bolton.

A little known GK James Trafford in nets for Bolton.

It will include all the “sold” 1876 member tickets too and I can’t turn up for this one, like a few others due to the Thursday kick off.

I doubt it. You have to order your Cardiff ticket. It's not automatic so if you haven't physically ordered your ticket then it won't be counted in that number.

Fair enough.

Not sure which Stockport game you are planning to watch before 23rd August, but good luck.

Or maybe you're wanting to travel somewhere else via Stockport?

The CrossCountry Replacement Bus running from Stoke Station to Stockport takes 1 hour 24 minutes, station to station.

Not sure if you're being deliberately obtuse
