The referee for Saturday is the partially sighted Jacob Miles who had a serious moment of total blindness at Bromley!  He owes us 2 points at least.

Stevie Wonder could be the referee on sat  as long as we get the 3 points , I duner care  # Go on Vale 👋 UTV

Miles is the nearest thing to Stevie Wonder on the refs list!

I actually feel a bit sorry for the ref from that game. He missed a blatant handball to punch it out obviously, but his linesman let him down big time, as we could all see it was miles over the line in real time and we were stood behind him.

Were you in the seats behind the goal? Wonder what the view of it was like from there.

I was in the home end behind the dugouts. Us 2 along with all their fans could see it had gone in and we weren't looking along the line. It was so obviously in.

I have sympathy for those who haven't managed to get a ticket as it's very rarely the case that there is limited availability! I go to probably most of home games (mainly miss the night games) and a few away. Almost immediately after the Wimbledon game I thought I'd better get a ticket because I suspected that it would be in demand. There was only maybe 200 left in the Hamil on Saturday evening. Unfortunately, with any high demand event, you have to get in early.

I noticed after the game that tickets were going fast. Got sidetracked Saturday night with all the hysteria. Woke up Sunday and noticed there was less than 10 in the Hamil, got 2 sorted. Within an hour, sold out. I expected it to sell out, but maybe by Thursday at the earliest.

Re the ref, a lot was made of the liner, who I'm 100% adamant, saw the ball go over the line and chose not to give it because of the grief he'd been getting from Vale fans behind him. However, I still cannot for the life of me understand how the ref didn't spot not just one, but 2 blatant handballs from the same incident. He watched the ball go towards goal from Stockley, divert to the right (as he was looking at it) from the first defender, then watched the 2nd defender punch the ball out of the goal. Law of averages suggest that between them, one of those 3 major incidents would have been seen.

If we win Saturday, we'll be the real Champions, regardless of what happens elsewhere.

Don't feel sorry for him, If this is accurately reported.

You couldn't make it up !!!!

It's as though they have sent him to say "sorry it all worked out in the end" !!

Please don't bring that assistant with you... And I didn't mean your labrador.

They’ve probably sent him back to finish the job and make sure we don’t win the title 😂

Didn’t think the ref was that bad at Bromley. It was the linesman who was awful and should take more responsibility for not giving the goal, the ref did look to the linesman.

Was it the same ref at Bradford? If it was I retract my previous post, he is awful.

I wonder what Donald Trump would do to get half thd Bycars open? ‘Make the Bycars great again’ 😂 p.s that was a joke by the way.

If he did, I wonder if he'd fail miserably, put the prices up - even though he tells you he'll reduce them from Day-1, and if he'd say we didn't get relegated last year...??

The ref and linesman should never be officials again, they cheated. The forth official must have seen what happened as well. Did they have a bet on? Who knows but something went on to miss not just the ball over the line the hand balls go with it. And before anyone says they would not put a bet on,  the misses were that bad who knows.

See this never made sense to me, unless Darren meant it was the linesman that didn’t realise there was no goal line tech. As it’s on the linesmen to give the goal in this situation. So maybe the linesman didn’t flag as he was expecting the ref to give it due to VAR, and the ref was waiting for his linesman to flag.
