Another Tuesday night passes by without a win at home in the league.  Will be repeating what many have posted already but tonight is all on the manager and for me this is why I want him gone at the end of the season regardless of if we are in league 1 or league 2.  I doubt any other manager in the top 6 would have been thinking about Saturday's match and prioritising that above tonight's game at this crucial stage of the season.  There is no way at the business end that we should be playing Harper and Hackford, they have they are not good enough to be starting matches and should be subs and nothing more.  Walters has been a revelation since coming in and Tolaj did more in 5 minutes after coming on than Hackford did in 45.  If we start with that team, we definitely don't lose and by being on the front foot from the first minute, Barrow would have run out of legs in the second half and tired considerably.  

We have now put so much pressure on ourselves and after tonight, we have to get 2 wins from 3 very tough games if we are to be thinking about top 3.  I just can't begin to think what Moore was thinking about to pick that team, this is going to cost us come the end of the season, I am sure will still be a good atmosphere Saturday but that away end would have been absoutely buzzing before kick-off if we had been 3rd and a chance to go level on points with Walsall at top.

I agree. I’ve said it all season. We are, what, 8 games from the end and we still have no recognisable style of play to me.

Someone used the word excruciating for the 1st half. Bang on. The number of times Debrah just aimlessly limped the ball forward was excruciating. The lack of any sort of movement in midfield was excruciating. The number of times we knocked it sideways between the CB’s with none of them having the faintest idea of what to do with it was excruciating. I could go on.

Again, I really don’t see how people can keep supporting this manager. He is actually harming our prospects this year, not enhancing them. Still, it could be worse, we could have another 4 years of this absolute tripe. Oh….

On an equally bright note, at least we get the chance to final get that elusive Tuesday night win next week when we play…..oh, Bradford. Ummmm. Oh well, chance to start with no strikers again maybe, hope we can scrape another 1-0 defeat? 

The more I look at our run in, the more I’m struggling to see where the points will come from to even secure the play-offs. 

Beaten by mighty Barrow 3 times in one season. Let that sink in Moore lovers.

 

I hope, after analysing this performance for 24 hours, DM has the balls to apologise to Vale fans for his poor team selection which cost Vale the points tonight. 

100% down to wrong team selection and tactics AGAIN from a manager who honestly should walk away for the sake of Vale fans sanity.

The likes of Garrity, Hall and Curtis were just as bad as Debrah, Harper and Hackford in that first half. Let’s not forget that.

Nobody knew what they were doing, whole team was hopeless first half, Garrity and Hall played better second half, unfortunately Debrah didn’t.

Yes you have a squad to rotate with games on top of each other. Have this one free on me Mr Moore, start your best 11 and when we are 2 goals up rotate players. First half was dire. Barrow , in 17th place dominated us at our ground. Better 2nd half when we played the team that should have started but we were chasing a game that we shouldn't have been chasing .

When will he ever learn?

He won’t. His defensive mindset is baked in and accounts for the negative dross we’ve been served up all season. It’s just painful to watch despite our league position. If we get promotion I’ll take it of course but don’t ever ask me to sign up to this dreadful style of football. Eventually, you’ll be found out - like tonight. 

If I were Carol I'd be demanding a meeting with Moore tomorrow morning. I wouldn't hold my breath, though. Rotating players when a win would take you third. Christ.

I do feel for the likes of Harper and Hackford. They’re not involved for weeks and then expected to start and play well. It’s happened too often with players this season.

I could write a three paragraph rant and moan. What’s the point though? I’m resigned to this happening on a Tuesday night and this happening in a game in hand. It’s predictable now. 

The top 8 must be having a right laugh at us tonight.
