Port Vale v Barrow match thread - 25 March

Featured Replies

Our lack of tempo really cost us that game. No urgency and desire to take the game to a spirited, but far from class Barrow side. I saw something online earlier about the atmosphere being quite poor since we switched Bycars and the Hamil end with away fans. But honestly, I don't think it's that. Albeit we sit 4th in the table right now but our Football has shocking for years. To get the fans going you need to give them something worth getting behind and slow methodical Football passing it backwards and sideways is hardly an exciting product to watch.

Exactly

We will see Nippy. I have my views on it all but theres no point until we see what happens.

Here's a clue tho. I was mortified when he couldnt keep us up last season.

This is this season tho and I back the lads and the gaffer till the last kick of the season. It is what it is until then, and only then, we will have all the glory or misery we deserve over the course of a whole season.

UTV 💪 KTF 🙏

3 games played against Barrow this season and lost all 3.

That team  doesn’t deserve promotion.

Do you think he might go " Mmm those lads second have gave us a chance of winning this; I'll start with that attacking intent on Saturday to give us chance to go up". Or is that too risky for him.?

That’s been the story of our season. Cautious  and defensive football . Moore plays not to lose.

Probably rest them now 😆

DM cost us that game too many changes wrong shape he got nothing right and as unlucky as we were second half after the changes and as much as we deserved something we aren't good enough to give teams a goal start and only play for half a game.

The two wins gave us hope again but we threw it away tonight.

Can't forgive that starting lineup.

<ovf censored> the stats and resting players.  In the position we were in tonight, get the best possible team out, go at them, try get ourselves in a solid winning position and then take the players off that need resting.

Second half was better and probably unlucky not to get a point with the woodwork and another penalty shout but have shot ourselves in the foot big time tonight.

Side note, big up to each and every one of you tonight. You got behind the lads big time second half. Proper support 💪

****! ****! ****!

Better team lost.

Only in the last 20 minutes.

This rotation rubbish makes me dizzy

My only hope is that one positive can be drawn from this game. That is that Darren, never, never again pulls such a stupid stunt as he did today, first half.
But maybe I am being overly optimistic
