I fully understand the 'it's on TV and it's a cold Thursday night in February." But when we all buy our season tickets and want our club to be the best, surely a game under the lights against a team 2nd in the league when we sit in the top 7 should be something to embrace.

My lad is missing lectures (don't tell Liverpool Uni) and getting the train to the match and I am 62 and start work at 6am Friday.  Each to their own but I wouldn't miss these nights for anything.

Thursday afternoon lectures always got binned off in favour of the pub. Daft time to have them.

That said, I might have thought twice if I was paying the tuition fees myself.

The issue with it being a night match is the number of ST holders especially kids, that don't turn up. That's not a dig, it's up to the individual. No one else's business why people can't attend and no one needs to justify themselves.

Regardless of whether ST holders turn up or not though, surely we have plenty of people wanting to get to Vale, for free, to watch it live in the ground. We all have a part to play in getting promotion, if that means getting as many Vale fans in the ground by making use of your free ticket, do whatever you can to get it shifted.

Every game I've watched since our glut of reds I've seen similar or worse tackles than ours.  Not 1 red, some yellows, often not even a foul given.  Much worse tackles only given yellow. So galling
