How anonymous was Richards again when starting a game.

Vale's own David Fairclough , without the goals.

The manager could actually set us up to win football matches that would go a long way but he's not going to change his safety first borefest style of play is he , what the hell is he still here for , Get the joker out the club

Nippy, do you honestly think we setup to not win today in the 1st half?

Nice work, if you can get it.

But that substation completely killed us as an attacking threat. You can't just ignore that. That was the crux of why we spend most of the second half hanging on rather than taking the game to the opposition.

Garrity and Tolaj subs killed us.

No midfield you can’t take the game to the opponent.

Garrity was immense in that 1st half especially considering he’s been out that long.

It actually looked a decent team, nearly forsake the darts and had a stroll up once I saw the line up.

Thankfully I stuck to my guns.

Sort of irrelevant if he destroys any attacking threat by subbing Tolaj for Hackford, though.

He basically accepted the 0-0 at that point, knowingly or otherwise. The fans booed the sub, knowing it was crap, and we immediately looked much poorer with no outlet.

It was just such a poor decision. He's being paid a load of money to make a decision every average fan knew instinctively was very bad. That's enough evidence that we can perhaps do better.

Think Rita Fairclough would be closer to the mark. Mind you she would be a stronger more powerful option, Richards will never make a league footballer

I think we set up to nulify the opposition instead of concentrating on attacking the opposition but that's just my opinion

Better than the last few games but still really poor and boring. The effort was there from the players, they just seemed to be stiffled of any creativity. I'm not sure if we've stopped the rot with that performance or if it's just a continuation of the crap.
The football is . We don't get on top of anyone and stay on top for a long spell in the game. Like Joe says, even if we go up, what's the plan? Do we really want to continue watching this? I go to the football to entertained. The last time I can truly say I enjoyed a game was Wimbledon at home.
We're 5th in the league, but I genuinely don't think there's a single Vale fan out there who would be upset if he was sacked tonight. That tells you everything. I'm sure Carol has already opened the purse though. Let's see who comes in and how much Moore can bore every ounce of creativity out of them.

Spot on mellor it’s boring
I don’t want to go anymore that’s how it’s making me feel .we should be going to be entertained not sent to sleep
He needs to be replaced before it gets nasty

Vale created some good chances but but still couldn't put the ball in the net. Worryingly after the last 6-7 games it's just hard to see where a goal is gonna come from. The transfer window is open so DM may be able to engineer the signing of a goal scorer or two, presumably there's some funds from the DiPepa move.

As much as I want the strikers in the squad to succeed that part of the squad needs freshening up or else Vale will just drift into mid table.

The sack for DM ain't gonna happen at this point in time and neither should it.

it was an awful game with a nil nil draw proving the manager hasn’t got a clue what he is doing and the pitch was awful  and I am getting worried as we descend the league now 5th with a hard game at Doncaster and Notts county to come before Crewe and Bromley at home, Walsall away

Positives today......Garrity Smith and Amos, how good was it watching Smudge getting stuck in where's he been all season ?

The worrying thing being that Moore has spent the first half of the season seemingly unaware of this top League Two centre back sitting there in his squad.

The writing is on the wall the season hinges on Darren Bore going asap because we're heading for mid-table obscurity if the owners don't address the situation imminently

I’m struggling to see your point here? We are 5th, and bang in it going into the second half of the season, with key players returning and the January window opening to add fresh legs and quality to see us over the line.

What do we achieve with sacking Moore now?

Looked a good player when things were going well earlier in the seasons. Looks far from it now the chips are down.

We never looked like winning the game when Garrity went off. We didn’t have a midfield and couldn’t get up the pitch. The same has happened in every game since Garrity’s absence. There’s just no balance or structure with basically just Croasdale playing there.

Chislett was no use in there as a two. He spent more time on the left than in the middle. Plus he offered nothing, his story all season.

Also, due to the lack of midfield, in the last half an hour we basically played a flat back 5. Cover and John barely ventured forward.

We can moan at Hackford all we want but he wasn’t the problem in that last half an hour.

The midfield problem hasn’t been solved in the last two months which has cost us dearly.
