Last New year day game at home I could remember was a 2-2 draw with relatively local Macclesfield in 2020 where the attendance was 5,350.

it was only 700 more at 6,080 against Fleetwood on New Year’s Day in 2012/13 promotion season

Again Swanny same as Nippy debate tactics all day long and tell me what you think we should do differently with the players at our disposal.

Tolaj strange but what else could/should have done differently to get a result?

Clearly we were the better team 1st half and should have been a couple of goals in front by at halftime.

If we are out of contention for automatic promotion I think that’s when he would be gone because he’s failed.

 

Better today but still no goals. Good to see Ben back, Good steady performance from Smudge and Tolaj caused problems. More attacking intent and as a one off game you wouldnt read too much into it. However on the back of a very poor run of form and goal scoring almost becoming an endangered species then not good enough. 

 Despite a better performance today DM needs wins and quickly, even if its 1-0 if not it will get toxic with the fans and we all know how that ends.

- four at the back and an extra man in midfield?

- A settled team for the last 10 games?

- Not use ‘with the players at his disposal’ as a cop out because this is his expensively put together squad. If it’s unbalanced, it’s his fault. He made a big thing about being in charge of everything when he arrived. 

- Some sense of what style of football we want to play beyond ‘defend’. 

- Not take the better players off and kill the game

Exactly. Around march time pal 👍🏻 we will be out the playoffs in less than 2 weeks. Another 6 weeks after that.. scary to think where we will be then 😳

It’s borderline toxic now I reckon 

Correct me if I'm wrong but since Darren Moore took over  have we ever scored a winner in the last 10 minutes of the game at home. Other clubs do it on a regular basis. We look jaded and lacklustre in the final throws of games. Instead of pressing and going for it we just never look like getting that last minute winner. Got to be down to the manager, over cautious and subs fail to change the game for the better. In fact for long periods in the 2nd half today it looked like we were hanging on. Embarrassing stuff. I'm afraid he's got to go, clueless !
