First time that Cheltenham have failed to score away this season, a slight consolation.

As frustrating as 0-0 may be, I thought we were much improved today.

The return of Smith added some much needed fight at the back, the return of Garrity was absolutely massive, and Tolaj performed as well as we’ve seen probably for two or three months.

I’ve banged on about needing a competent midfield partnership, and today highlighted how pivotal one is. Garrity showed us what we had been missing since the end of October.

Don’t get me wrong the lack of goals is a concern but a couple of January additions to compliment our attack, coupled with the full return of Byers and Garrity, will see us hopefully get back to where we were back in September and October.

The writing is on the wall the season hinges on Darren Bore going asap because we're heading for mid-table obscurity if the owners don't address the situation imminently

We must be the laughing stock of L2 at the moment.  We have gone from around 9 points clear to now 14 points behind Walsall.  Salford and Crewe are above us (both with games in hand) and based on the last 6 games we are 23rd in the form guide.  Nothing short of embarrassing !

- four at the back and an extra man in midfield?

- A settled team for the last 10 games?

- Not use ‘with the players at his disposal’ as a cop out because this is his expensively put together squad. If it’s unbalanced, it’s his fault. He made a big thing about being in charge of everything when he arrived.

- Some sense of what style of football we want to play beyond ‘defend’.

- Not take the better players off and kill the game

How can you keep a settled team when the players have performed <ovf censored> when given the chance?

I agree I would like to see a back 4 and 2 wingers playing. We lack pace to play like that though which is why I would like to see a winger come in January and we haven’t had enough fit midfielders to play that way, certainly not for the last few matches.

I think we got back to what our style was in that 1st half today. Some nice passing play from back to front got us is not some good situations. Players look anxious in and around the box and the lack of goals is taking its toll.

Tolaj was a weird sub today.

It's a bloody disgrace is what it is

And the blame lies with Darren Bore

Moore isn’t good enough I’m sorry
Far far too cautious and the sooner he goes the better , people saying well he has a 5 year contract so did Darrel Clarke and we sacked him 8 months into it

Get him gone asap

The manager could actually set us up to win football matches that would go a long way but he's not going to change his safety first borefest style of play is he , what the hell is he still here for , Get the joker out the club

Another boring game but only to be expected, can't believe there were lots of people applauding that in the Hamil at the end, how bad have we become if people think that kind of performance is decent.  Keeping Moore in charge any longer is going to result in sub 5000 attendances regularly and a finish between 12th and 16th.  We still have a chance of going up if we act now and get rid of this clueless manager.  We have players bang out of form and low on confidence but with a braver manager and a few players brought in, we can do something this season.  To take Tolaj off proves how of his depth he is, by far the most dangerous forward player we had and to replace him with Hackford was a shocking decision.

Better than the last few games but still really poor and boring. The effort was there from the players, they just seemed to be stiffled of any creativity. I'm not sure if we've stopped the rot with that performance or if it's just a continuation of the crap.

The football is <ovf censored>. We don't get on top of anyone and stay on top for a long spell in the game. Like Joe says, even if we go up, what's the plan? Do we really want to continue watching this? I go to the football to entertained. The last time I can truly say I enjoyed a game was Wimbledon at home.

We're 5th in the league, but I genuinely don't think there's a single Vale fan out there who would be upset if he was sacked tonight. That tells you everything. I'm sure Carol has already opened the purse though. Let's see who comes in and how much Moore can bore every ounce of creativity out of them.

But that substation completely killed us as an attacking threat. You can't just ignore that. That was the crux of why we spend most of the second half hanging on rather than taking the game to the opposition.

He has been paid off at every club for making players worse not as daft as he looks

Good first half from Vale. After Hackford came on , you could see Vale getting deeper and deeper in their half. It was obvious that Moore was playing for a draw at that point, using Hackford’s pace to counter attack. It never happened. I would have gone for broke and brought on Paton instead. Chislett slips under the radar for his performances , or lack of more like. For all his skill , he goes missing, and I don’t think he likes playing for Moore.

Overall, we can’t pass a ball , there seems to be no confidence in the team, and Moore doesn’t have the brains to change the game for us. We are all over the shop. A point gained, and lucky enough to get it in the end.
On to Doncaster , and a possible hammering.

Honestly I don’t get Hackford. Feels like we play with 10 men when he comes on.

Midfield had gone once Garrity goes off, Chizzy is a fanny. His performances this season have been rubbish. I posted way back in September I would sell him in January.

Passing was better today but agree confidence is very very low.

Smudge,John,Garrity gives a bit more aggression in the team and I’d put Clarke back in at RWB as well. Think that just makes us a better team.

I will lose my <ovf censored> if he drops any of those and Tolaj for the next game.

I thought Amos played well today.
