Odd bits on here about recalling James Plant (still not sure if we can in the first month of his loan, which began on Sept 27th) but I see that Yeovil are due to play Chesham Utd in the F.A Cup tomorrow. Do we allow him to be cup tied or refuse Yeovil permission to play him on the basis we might need him later during our cup run? (wishful thinking, I know)                                                                 1st round F.A.Cup draw on Monday evening on BBC2 ?

Agreed, don't think we can recall Plant until he has been there for a month

I’ve been backing goals the last 4 weeks thinking someone was In for a proper shellacking. Not happened so I’ll go vale 1-0 and hope for a goal fest

At last 1027 away following tomoz plus pay on day .

Terrific following that ,it's not like we have free coaches put on if we did be a sell out for sure .

Enjoy that's a bigger following than Accrington away by about 20 .

Would have gone myself but the train has priced me out. Shocking price for a direct train and that was with a rail card! Plus it's a three mile trek after the train arrives. I think I would have succumbed in the end but the fact it's on the box means I can still watch it and save money. Pity.

Managed get for £37 but that changes at Stafford , not direct. 

Rail prices have exploded in the past couple of years mate for sure .

He’s no worse than what we already have at this level he’s proved that for years on end. Yes he was poor last season, but so was everyone apart from Garrity & Chislett. Smithy has his strengths but I also can see why he isn’t getting a look in just yet. Any of the 3 centre halves get an injury or pick up suspensions & he should be getting into the matchday squad. He’s a better defender than Hall for me but nowhere near as good on the ball. I do hope he gets his chance at some point & takes it with both hands. Only Debrah so far has been consistent the rest have been the ‘ bang average ‘ you describe him as. Would be a shame if his career at Vale ended like this I don’t think anyone can disagree with that bit.

Maybe he might be put in tomoz as do you need 3 big burly centre half's v MK Don's having watched them other night I'd say you don't you need 1 for Harrison who I think be on bench anyway .

We need to not dither on ball as they play high press , there's space for Garrity to really shine as they leave a massive gap between defence and midfield in fact if Paton starts he should be in on goal quite often as they seriously lack pace at back

Take sentiment out of it and he isnt very good at league level.

At league one he looks woeful. 
At league two level he scraps and pinches his opponents.

I expect more from my centre back. 
He hasn’t progressed in his career and let’s face it, the lad has made a load of money at being an average footballer.

What’s all this Smith bashing !! Everyone claiming he was shocking last season, however bad he was Lowe/Sang and Debrah were ten times worse yet they’ve all been given a chance this season. So should Smith be goven a chance, I know who I would rather see.

Give over. 2 times player of the year suggests otherwise. A lot of our squad are average we’re Port Vale in league 2!
